The battle for supremacy in the Old Man Basketball league got a spicy twist this week, as Detroit Build delivered an emphatic statement with a commanding win over Huron Gastro, and Mosley Investments pulled off an upset against Goldstein Dental. Talk about turning the tables! The stage is set for a thrilling finish as the season creeps towards its climax, with every game feeling more crucial than the last.

In a standout performance, Detroit Build crushed Huron Gastro 84-49, showcasing their depth and teamwork. Jovaughn Wilson stole the show with 23 points and 14 rebounds, but it was Isaac Winfree’s all-around brilliance, contributing 7 points, 12 rebounds, and a whopping 6 assists, that caught everyone's eye. This kind of teamwork is what makes them a force to be reckoned with moving forward. Huron fell flat, with Albert Robinson netting 22 points but lacking support, which doesn't bode well for their playoff aspirations.

Flirtin' With Disaster managed a narrow victory over Athletico, winning 60-52. Jeffrey Weeks continued to impress with a game-high 20 points and 12 rebounds, solidifying his role as a vital scorer. Meanwhile, Athletico's Brandon Daniels provided a spark with 21 points but ultimately couldn’t steer his side to a win. Flirtin' With Disaster showed they can grind out a win, which will be invaluable as they navigate the closing games of the season.

DREAM Mobile continued their strong run with a hard-fought 59-50 win against Benzinga. Ryan Zinser was phenomenal, racking up 17 points and dishing out 11 assists, while Jake Mickley supported with a crucial 19 points. Benzinga's Eric struggled for consistency, and with this loss, they have a mountain to climb if they’re looking to shake up the standings.

Mosley Investments pulled off an unexpected twist by defeating Goldstein Dental 72-68. James Griffin's impressive 29 points led the charge, supported by Dejuan Moss’ heavy lifting on the boards with 17 rebounds. Goldstein had their chances, with Bennie Szczepkowski’s jaw-dropping 37 points, but they were undone by their inability to capitalize down the stretch. Mosley grabbing this win might just be the shake-up needed as they eye the playoffs.

The match between Ball Don't Lie and Nosan Signature Homes was tight, with Ball Don't Lie edging it 57-52. Jason White led the way with 18 points, proving crucial in the clutch moments. Nosan's Jake Billmeyer provided a big challenge with 29 points and 15 rebounds, showcasing why they cannot be overlooked, yet their late-game execution fell short.

Come Play Detroit should feel good after a solid win over Play For A Cause, taking home the W with a 57-48 scoreline. Jolian Kathawa was simply unstoppable, knocking down 27 points that left the opposition scrambling. Play For A Cause put up a valiant effort, led by Devaughn Hill with 18 points, but ultimately could not keep pace.

New Era Landscaping showcased their power with a decisive 72-46 victory over Social Media Store. Jared Carithers was sensational, hitting 33 points while exhibiting why this squad is among the favorites moving forward. Social Media Store attempted to keep up, but Robert Collins’ 17-point performance barely scratched the surface of their ambition.

Finally, Wallside Windows dispatched Muscle Milk 60-41, capably led by Ross O'Hara, who contributed 17 points. Muscle Milk couldn’t find an answer to their offensive struggles, despite Joey’s solid 21 points. Their defensive approach clearly needs an overhaul, and they’ll have to make adjustments if they hope to bounce back.

As the final weeks of the season approach, the intensity is rising, and teams are clearly establishing their identities. Keep your eyes peeled – with so much on the line, the drama is guaranteed to unfold on the courts! Who will rise up, and who will falter? Only time will tell.
