This week saw the intensity crank up as teams dove into the playoffs, with some battling to stay alive and others flexing their muscles. Huron Gastro came through in a nail-biter against Athletico, reminding everyone why they’ve been on a four-game winning streak. Meanwhile, Ball Don't Lie extended their grip on the all-time series against Nosan Signature Homes, snagging a win and making it two for two. Muscle Milk pulled off a shocker with a slim victory over Come Play Detroit, while Goldstein Dental turned the tables on DREAM Mobile in a crucial match that leveled their all-time series. With each game, the pressure builds, and the standings are sure to take a new shape in the weeks to come. Bring on the next round of action!

Nosan Signature Homes 48, Ball Don't Lie 54

A nail-biter in the postseason! Ball Don't Lie proved their mettle with a tight six-point victory over Nosan Signature Homes, continuing their perfect record against them in playoffs past. The real star of the night was Jason White, who came up big with a double-double, reeling in 16 points and 14 boards, while also notching three assists and three steals. His teammates were no slouches either, as Darrell Jeffreys not only scored 15 points but also made a personal-best six free throws, showing off his shooting skills much more than his regular season average. The towering Jake Billmeyer brought the thunder for Nosan Signature Homes, lighting up the scoreboard with 26 points and dominating the glass with 16 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to lift his team to victory. Props to Joe Cook-Shugart, who not only secured a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, but also contributed defensively with three steals. With playoff intensity heating up, Ball Don't Lie has shown they mean business!

DREAM Mobile 44, Goldstein Dental 54

You could say this was a clash of titans, but that would be a stretch considering the ten-point difference on the scoreboard. Goldstein Dental leveled the all-time series at 1-1 with their win over DREAM Mobile, who may be wishing they had better prepared for this playoff showdown after letting a lead slip away in the second half. Bennie Szczepkowski led the charge for Goldstein Dental with a hot 27 points, truly bringing the heat with 10 made free throws—way above his usual average. Chad Pardo had a great night too, but don't let that distract you from Szczepkowski's free-throw clinic!

On the other side, Ryan Zinser's 17 points kept DREAM Mobile in contention, while Jake Mickley showcased resourcefulness with a double-double of 11 points and 15 rebounds, breaking his personal best for boards. It's worth noting Michael Lustri had a great night too, with career highs in steals and free throws—small victories in what turned out to be a no-win game. At least he can walk away knowing he showed up! But for Goldstein Dental, watch out—this victory could spark some real momentum moving forward.

Come Play Detroit 42, Muscle Milk 43

In a nail-biter where every possession mattered, Muscle Milk narrowly pulled off a 43-42 victory over Come Play Detroit, showcasing a fierce battle of two distinct playing styles. Dushawn Harsten lit up the scoreboard for Muscle Milk with 19 points, including a personal-best four three-pointers, proving that long-range shooting was central to their game plan. On the other side, Mike Hand put forth an impressive effort for Come Play Detroit, scoring 17 points and sinking eight free throws—his best output yet—showing how vital the charity stripe can be when the game is on the line. While Muscle Milk focused on their perimeter shooting and defensive prowess, illustrated by Joseph Sosnoski’s remarkable five steals, Come Play Detroit relied heavily on Steve Jaffe, who unexpectedly elevated his game to score nine points and dish out four assists, going well beyond his regular contributions. With this win, Muscle Milk leveled their all-time series with Come Play Detroit at 1-1, leaving the door open for future matchups that promise even more excitement.

Huron Gastro 64, Athletico 57

It was a nail-biter that went into overtime, turning what could have been a regular playoff outing into a thrilling spectacle. Huron Gastro pulled off a 64-57 victory against Athletico, extending their lead in the all-time series to 2-0. Albert Robinson was the star, dropping 25 points and snagging 11 rebounds, while Billy Crain dominated the boards with a whopping 20 rebounds alongside 5 assists. Their efforts propelled Huron Gastro to a solid team performance that left Athletico scrambling.

Eric Christian stepped up for Athletico with a personal-best 17 points, including 5 three-pointers, and contributing 3 rebounds and 2 assists. However, it wasn't enough on this night as he watched Huron Gastro celebrate. Brandon Daniels also had a standout outing with 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists, showing that even in the loss, a few players could hold their heads high. Huron will look to keep their momentum going, while Athletico might want to rethink their game plan—seven points in overtime isn’t the way to end a playoff game, folks!
