The week of action in the Old Man Basketball league saw thrilling matchups and intense competition, as eight games unfolded between seasoned teams striving for glory on the court. Goldstein Dental remains unbeaten at the top of the standings, while several teams are vying for playoff positioning as the season progresses.

In a closely contested game, New Era Landscaping edged out Mosley Investments 66-61. Michael Moffat was a standout for New Era with 19 points, while Jared Carithers contributed significantly with 20 points, raising their team's performance metrics this season. For Mosley Investments, James Griffin led the way with 19 points, but it wasn't enough to secure the win.

Athletico pulled off a strong performance against Wallside Windows, claiming an 80-64 victory. Brandon Daniels dominated the game with an impressive 45 points, showcasing his scoring prowess. Lorenzo Jones also made his mark with 14 points while contributing double-digit rebounds. Wallside's standout was Rich, who totaled 25 points in the losing effort, but the game highlighted Athletico's potential moving forward.

DREAM Mobile faced Nosan Signature Homes and came away with a 54-42 win. Ryan Zinser was pivotal, scoring 15 points and securing a double-double with 10 rebounds. Their consistent defense dampened Nosan's offense, highlighted by Ian McDonald's 19-point effort that fell short.

A tightly fought match between Play For A Cause and Muscle Milk ended with Muscle Milk winning 54-50. Demarcus Wingate tallied 18 points, while Dushawn Harsten added 16 more for Muscle Milk. Carl Terry's 16 points helped keep Play For A Cause competitive, but they couldn't close the gap.

Flirtin' With Disaster squeaked past Detroit Build 42-41 in a defensive battle. Jeffrey Weeks claimed 17 points for Flirtin, while Nick Dallas matched the effort for Detroit with 13 points. The low-scoring affair demonstrated both teams' defensive capabilities, although it also underlined their offensive struggles.

In another nail-biter, Huron Gastro narrowly defeated Come Play Detroit 57-56. Albert Robinson scored a noteworthy 23 points and helped Huron maintain their momentum in the standings. Shaun J was the standout for Come Play Detroit with 17 points, but ultimately they couldn't tip the scales in their favor.

Social Media Store secured a comfortable win over Benzinga, ending 50-42. Robert Collins logged 16 points while Steve West delivered a solid performance with 6 points and 9 rebounds. Benzinga struggled to match their scoring output, despite Andrew Sherman’s 12-point contribution.

Finally, Goldstein Dental continued their strong run with a 64-57 victory against Ball Don't Lie. Bennie Szczepkowski produced a remarkable performance, scoring 36 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, leading his team effectively. Corry Knight’s 19 points for Ball Don't Lie highlighted their efforts, but they fell short against Goldstein's balanced attack.

The week showcased various individual talents and solid teamwork, proving that the competition in the Old Man Basketball league remains fierce as the season unfolds. Teams continue to sharpen their skills, preparing for the challenges ahead while aiming for those top spots in the standings.
