Round robin action was filled with close games and exciting moments. The goaltenders were stellar as 1/3 of the games ended in shutouts. It was capped off with the only OT game as the hosts buried for a 3-2 win over Kelvin to secure a spot in the final. The Clippers got a crucial point in the OTL to qualify for the bronze game vs Dakota.

The Lancers had an impressive performance, scoring early and often and then hanging on to defeat the Pembina Tigers 5-1. The Tigers had put themselves in the position for a playoff spot by knocking off Westwood with a big 5-2 win in the morning, but by virtue of the head to head tiebreaker ended up as the odd team out in the Miles pool. Likewise, despite the win, Dakota lost out to Westwood on the head to head tiebreak, and as a result the Warriors will face the Buckeyes in the final.

St. Thomas Aquinas bounced back from a tough opening game to defeat Mountain yesterday afternoon, sending the Mustangs home and keeping the Kenora boys around for the consolation final with Sanford this afternoon.
