During games these substitution rules will be strictly followed if a player is to come off the bench or a player is absent or decides not to play:
1. An absent player can be substituted by any other player prior to the beginning of the game. However, they cannot be substituted by captains of other teams.
2. If a player not initially registered on your team wants to play in the game, they have to get permission from IHAC officials or the referee(Abdulrahman Hamideh, Youssef Youssef, Amir Abukar).
3. A player that is not registered on the team cannot be substituted in to the game, but rather they have to be added on to the roster prior to tip-off. Exception: If a severe injury removes a player from the game, the referee is allowed to make an exception based on his discretion.
4. Substitutions can only occur at dead balls. Meaning, before a free throw, on a timeout (read next post), during halftime, the ball has gone out of bounds, or a foul is committed.
5. A team can play with 4 players if they decide to(The opposing team can still play their 5). However, if a roster only has 3 or less players due to ejections or simply deciding not to play, the game will be an automatic forfeit.
