We had a packed schedule on Friday with each team playing double headers.

The day started with a couple ties as is fitting with a very evenly matched field. We had a rare double shut-out from WC Miller's Darion Penner and Léo Remillard's Matthieu Druwé in a 0-0 tie. Shaftesbury made a late third period comeback to earn a tie with Morris. As a result, the Miles pool will be wide open for the taking on Saturday.

The Mac Pool is somewhat more settled. The Buckeyes lost a tight match vs Mountain in the morning and then were overly gracious hosts in game 2, ceding 7 goals to a hungry Pembina squad. Miles Mac will have to wait another year to claim their first Buckeye Bowl, but will still contest for the consolation title. Stonewall had a very strong Friday, beating Pembina 7-2 in the morning and then edging Mountain 6-5 in what was the best game of the tournament thus far. The line of Holod, Deprez, and Domansky were dominant and the Rams have clinched first in the Mac Pool. Mountain and Pembina will battle today for the other spot in the semis.

Good luck to all teams in their games today! Here is an updated schedule.
