From Logan Allen's three-point play on the game’s first possession to the full-team floor slap on the other end, it was all Our Savior's all night on Monday.

Our Savior's opened up postseason play in front of a pleased pro-Our Savior's crowd with a dominant 80-58 win over Bloomington in the Conference Tournament’s quarterfinals. The Eagles will now advance to the conference tournament’s Semis for the first time since 2017.

For those that had not yet jumped on the Eagles bandwagon, Our Savior's gave them plenty of reason to buy stock Wednesday night.

“It’s always good, that first game, to set the tone,” Easley said.

With the energy provided by the fans, the Eagles (33-6, 16-4) Conference) were firing out of a cannon from the tip — they set the tone. Jace Easley's speed and Conor McCaffrey's prescence and mysterious play style was too much for the Crusaders, forcing this squad into foul trouble before the game reached its second timeout.

“Got off to a great start today,” said head coach Phillip Heppe. “I thought our defensive intensity to open the game was outstanding.”

Bloomington eventually fouled out two players and had a third ejected when it was all said and done on Wednesday night.

The Eagles lost to Bloomington (25-11, 10-10) earlier this season, 81-78, in Bloomington in December. This time around, Our Savior's was able to avenge the previous loss and keep chopping wood.

“On to the next,” Heppe said.

This Eagles team isn't content with beating
Bloomington in the quarterfinals of the Conference tourney, they have six more games left to win, the next one being Tuesday.

“We’re headed in the right direction,” Heppe said. “This is where Our Savior's should be.”
