A 1-1 week wasn’t good enough for Our Savior's to hold its spot in the rankings.
The Eagles dropped to No. 13 in the latest LSA State poll released on Monday morning.
Last week, Our Savior's went on the road and beat Christ The King for the first time this millennium, but then laid an egg in the Braggin’ Rights matchup in St Louis, losing to East St, Louis by three points. It’s been a weird start (4-2) for Our Savior's as it tries to get its footing this year.
The good news? The Eagles are still being respected statewide, as is the rest of the Conference, which still boasts two top-five teams in Bethel Morton and Christ Lutheran.
Conference play gets going this week as the Eagles have games scheduled against Concordia Peoria and Trinity Bloomington. Sunday's matchup against the Cougars should give the Eagles a chance to find themselves again before a top-20 matchup with the Crusaders on Friday.
