Our Savior's is entering the second week of the young season even higher than the first.
The Eagles jumped up to No. 5 in the latest LSA State Poll.
It was a struggling opening week for some of the State's top teams, with 4 top-10 teams losing and falling down.
But the Eagles, despite a nail-biter against Pleasant Plains, pressed all the right buttons.
Week in Review
Our Savior's had three games in its opening week multi-team event in Springfield. Phillip Heppe's crew made history in its first two routs against Salem Jacksonville and Chicago St. Patrick, becoming the first ranked team in more than 30 years to win its first two games each by at least 48 points.
The wheels started to come off against a much better Plains team on Wednesday, but a late three-pointer from Conor McCaffrey and a pair of last-second free throwers from Jace Easley clinched the two-point win for the Eagles (3-0, 0-0 LSA).
COMING UP
Our Saviors’ schedule lightens up in quantity this week, but certainly not in quality.
The Eagles get a highly anticipated matchup with Immanuel Seymour on Monday night. A broadcasted game, Our Savior's will have a shot to prove it belong with the blue bloods.
