The Irish connection contiunes as Alexander takes the torch
There has been no shortage of pundits who have stated that the Springfield Falcons were the ideal landing spot for Chicago Stud Victor Alexander. But Conor McCaffrey has stated that Springfield is the “perfect place” for Alexander to have signed and he should know.
McCaffrey, who will be inducted into the AAU Hall of Fame later this summer, played all but three of his AAU seasons with the Falcons, racking up four titles and 2022 Finals National Championship MVP.
Childhood photos of Alexander in Conor McCaffrey's #10 Falcons jersey have made the rounds on the internet.
"“I know he wanted to go to Springfield, and so it feels like it was destiny, with the Irish connection we built over the years. And he is going to keep the legacy going. It’s pretty cool."
“He is unique. His set of skills is unique. You know, we never saw a kid with this height as this young of an age, shooting like that, and having the dribbling skills that he has, and the way that he plays the game, it is just different. I can’t wait to see him play with the Falcons.” McCaffrey said.
"He doesn't care about the pressure and expectation, and I think the Falcons is the perfect place for him. He is in very good hands."
