Well, Wave basketball is back! Last season was the first one that commissioner Greg Bell headed and it was one to remember. Set with 4 teams, a newcomer who became captain(more on him later) and a slew of emotions of being able to come back with covid stopping the previous season it was a great season! The newcomer Tramaine Taylor led his team to the title against Bell's team. Emotions were high with the playoff format because Bell let the computer set the matchups and it put #1 vs #2 and #3 vs #4 in the first round and tramaine's team who was the #2 seed pulled the upset early on. That momentum carried over to them winning the title. Now we shall see if his team can defend the title, especially with most of the team coming back together via the draft. Which leads me to my next point, the draft was INTENSE! Via a leak from league sources, word got out that a certain player didn't want to play for the team that picked him and with that news the captains work out the only trade of the draft once it was completed. Excited to say that the league has more newcomers this season in Malik Chavis, Adam Herrick, Darius Bullock, Chris Dickerson, Keonte Jones and many more. There are also some returning players in Earl Mclaurin and Henry Pittman Jr. Last season's championship game packed the gym out and people are itching to get back in the seats to see the action return to the Greater Neck area of Virginia Beach. Cue the NBA on NBC theme and let's get it going!!
