LEAGUE RULES AND POLICY
**COMPETITION RULES:
**TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
The game format is single-round robin elimination series. The top 4 teams after the elimination round qualifies for the semi-finals.

BREAKING OF TIES:
* In case of 2-way tie on team standings, win over-the-other will be applied.
* In case of 3-way tie on team standings, quotient system will be applied. Two teams with highest quotient will advance to the next round
GAME TIME:
* Games will consist of two 40-minutes (4-quarters 10 minutes/quarter with a 3-minute half time).
* The clock will run continuously with the exception of: injuries, referees’ time, during free throw, the final two-minutes of the 4th quarter, and time-outs.
* In the last two minute of the 4th quarter, the clock shall stop with every violation, foul, or free throw and will not start again until the ball is touched in-bounds following a throw-in.
* If the game ends in a tie, there will be 3-minute overtime period with one time-out allotted per team.
* Clock starts when ball is tipped during the jump ball.
PLAYING TIME:
* A team consists of 17 players, but only 15 players are allowed to play during the game.
* A team must have 5 players on the court at all times
* Exception: Three players are allowed if a player cannot continue due to an injury or fouled out of the game.
TIME OUT:
* Each team is entitled to two time-outs per half, per game.
* The time-outs will be 25 seconds long and may be taken at any time during the game.
* Time-outs will not be carried over from period to period.
* Time-outs in excess of the allotted number will result in a technical foul.
OVERTIME:
* Overtime will consist of a 3-minute period.
* In the last 1 minute the clock shall stop with every violation, foul, or free throw and will not start again until the ball is touched in-bounds following a throw-in.
* Teams are entitled to one 25 second timeout in the overtime period.
* Time-outs do not carry over from period to period
TEAM FOUL / PERSONAL FOUL:
* A Player shall be allowed 5 personal fouls per game. On the fifth personal, that player shall be removed from the game.
* 2 free-throws awarded for each foul after the 4th team foul.
TOURNAMENT FEES:
* All fees are not refundable once the tournament started.
* The team will be charged RM150 if their team defaults a game and must be paid before the team will be allowed to play their next game.
* Reservation fees is RM200 to be deducted on the total Tournament fees.
* Tournament bond of RM250 (refundable and will give it back after the tournament)
CODE OF CONDUCT:
Unsportsmanlike conduct is not tolerated in the league. Unsportsmanlike conduct is any action, whether physical or verbal, that interrupts the flow of the game, for example, throwing the ball, badmouthing players, officials or spectators, arguing with referees, elbowing other players, use of obscene language and gesture, etc.
Physical confrontation is strictly prohibited. Individuals who directly cause personal injury, like punching or kicking a player or pushing a player to the floor,
shall be automatically ejected by the referees and banned from the league.
