πππ π π’π‘π: The Boys 58 - 6th Men 60
In the most highly anticipated matchup of the week, The Boys and 6th Men, both undefeated at the top of the standings, met for the first game of the night. In a fiery clash that went down to the wire, it was Meek Adamβs late game heroics (tied for game-high 21 points) and game winning bucket that propelled the 6th Men to their third win, keeping their unbeaten streak alive. Season points leader Gage Henley (tied for game-high 21 points, leading all players with 66 total on the season) filled up the stat sheet once again, but The Boys (2-1) will look to bounce back next week.
πππ π π§πͺπ’: HIMBYs 70 - Craft Team 50
After back-to-back weeks of losses, both Craft Team and the HIMBYs looked to finally start putting the pieces together and figure out a way to win. Fortunately for the HIMBYs, they did. HIMBYs Ben Schneider and Keith Shattuck (tied for team-high 15 points) worked in tandem finding holes in the defense and making them their go-to shooting spots all game long. Craft Teamβs Chris Head answered back with 18 points of his own, successfully getting to the free throw line and creating his own shot...but the comeback came up short as the HIMBYs dominated in the battle for rebounds (39-25), led most notably by HIMBY Tony Karalekas (10 points & 11 boards).
πππ π π§ππ₯ππ: Here for Exercise 50 - Ballerz 47
Our last game of Week 3 between the Ballerz and Here for Exercise might have been the most exciting of them all. It was a back and forth game all the way through - a defensive war of attrition that sent us into our first overtime result in league history. It was a breakout game for Ballerzβ Seth Cordts who scored a week-high 24 points along with 10 boards for a double-double performance, but an alley oop finish by Kevin Barbour along with clutch plays from team-high scorer Kyle Emile (14 points) of Here for Exercise in the closing seconds of regulation and extra time gave them the edge, and ultimately, the win.
