GAME RULES & REGULATIONS
High School rules are being used with some modifications;
Games consist of four (4) 10-minute running quarters. The clock runs continuously during play, except for the final two (2) minutes of the game if the score is 9pts or less. It will run if it is 10pts or more. Clock will stop last minute of all games on made baskets.
24-second shot clock will be used during all games. (No closely guarded count), resets to 14 on any violation in the front court under 14 and if the offense secures the rebound.
8-seconds to cross half court
All jump balls will be alternating possessions (clock is running saves time), but to start the quarter will be loser of the jump ball with get 2nd & 3rd, with the winner getting it the 4th.
Defensive 3 Seconds is in effect
Teams may advance the ball during the last two minutes of the ball game on time-outs.
Teams shoot the bonus (1 and 1) on the fifth (5th) foul of the quarter and we reset fouls every quarter.
Only 5 players allowed during the free-throws
Overtime – One two (2) minute overtime period will be played. First minute will be running clock, last minute of overtime the clock will be stopped at any dead ball situation. If the game is tied after the first overtime, the first team to score will be declared the winner (open with a jump ball). Playoffs we will continue playing two (2) minute OT periods with the above rule.
Teams receive two (2) time outs per half, no carry overs to overtime. They will receive one (1) time out for overtime.
Players will foul out of the game on their sixth (6th) foul. Technical fouls are considered personal fouls. Technical fouls shall be assessed for unsportsmanlike conduct, too many players on the court, delay of game, and too many time outs and so on. Technical fouls are two shots plus the ball.
Five (5) minute warm-up time. If at the time a team does not have four players the clock will start. After quarter one is over the game is a forfeit. No time-outs may be used. Team that forfeits will be responsible the following week for $100 game fee for the forfeit.
A player may be disqualified for receiving one (1) technical foul and will be disqualified for receiving two (2) direct technical fouls. The team captain is responsible for controlling the conduct of all players on his/her team and may be assessed a technical foul for not controlling the conduct of his/her players. Technical fouls include, but are not limited to:
· Disrespectfully addressing or contacting an official or gesturing in such a manner as to indicate resentment
· Using profanity or vulgarity; taunting, baiting, or ridiculing another player; or pointing a finger at or making obscene gestures toward another player
· Intentionally or flagrantly contacting an opponent when the ball is deadTechnical Fouls/Flagrant Fouls (unsportsmanlike) are $25.00 each and due before the player is allowed to take the court the following week.
Fighting of any kind will not be tolerated, physical or verbal. Involvement in a fight includes an automatic, minimum, a season suspension. Involvement includes; instigation, retaliation, physical or mental intimidation, and being an accessory to a fight. Participants who are not currently in the game cannot enter the floor to break up a fight. Participants who leave the bench area during a fight will be ejected from the game and can face a suspension of up to one (1) game. The degree of consequence is held at the sole decision of the Game Officials.
