Mount Zion, IL -- Trailing by 15 points at halftime, O.S. Springfield erupted in the second half, outscoring Mount Zion 43-13 to secure a dominant 71-46 victory on Tuesday night.
The 12th-ranked Eagles (14-3, 5-1 LSA) made LSA history as the only team ever to overcome a 15-point halftime deficit and win by 20 or more.
Conor McCaffrey’s milestone moment came in the second half as he scored 16 of his 25 points, surpassing the 2,000 career points mark in the process.
