Coming up on Saturday night on "Under the Lights" we were able to have Conor McCaffrey and Jace Easley join the podcast.

McCaffrey and Easley formerly known as "Fresh Squeezed" from 2016-20 guided the Springfield Our Savior's Eagles to a 111-30(78.7%) while claiming the school's first ever conference championship in the 2020 season, defeating reigning 17x defending champion Christ Lutheran lead by Rutgers Committ Lathan Sommerville.

Easley and McCaffrey's Eagles picked up 57 Conference Wins, 49 Top 25 wins, and 21 Top 10 wins, the most in any category out of any team.

When you look at teams who accompished such feats as 50+ conference wins, 40+ Top 25 wins and 15+ Top 10 wins, only one other team in LSA or IESA history comes close.

The West Lincoln Broadwell Lady Wolverines finished their junior high run 146-0 with a 2019 State Championship, ( with the 2020 state championship being canceled with Covid, ending both West Lincoln Broadwell's season and Our Savior's.) However even they only racked up 54 conference wins, 42 Top 25 Wins, and 18 Top 10 Wins. But the West Lincoln Broadwell Lady Wolverines now High Schooler's known as the Lincoln Lady Railsplitters went 74-1 over the 2022-24 seasons and picked up the schools first ever state championship.

Coincidentally or not, Springfield Our Savior's Point Guard Conor McCaffrey and West Lincoln Broadwell Point Guard Kloe Froebe have been close friends since their 5th grade seasons, when their long basketball school journey began.

Coming up on the podcast, we talk to Conor and Jace about the tragic ending of their 2020 state championship run, as well as playing in the best conference that the IESA and LSA has ever seen.

The 2020 LSA CIL Conference had 5 teams with 30+ wins and 14 teams with 21+ wins. Talk about a bloodbath conference.
