Welcome to the hub for the 24-8 Basketball League in honor of the legendary ✨ Kobe "Bean" Bryant ✨ The league runs from May 4th, 2021 thru July 30th, 2021 with first place cash prize and various trophies!
This is a men's league, ages 18 years and up to play. There are a total of 8 teams and 4 games will be played per week. Games will be held on Tuesday and Thursday nights between 8pm-10pm, with 2 games per night. All games will be played at the Rensselaer Boys & Girls Club located at 544 Broadway, Rensselaer, NY 12144. LEAGUE RULES
1. All players and guests must sign-in upon arrival
2. All players MUST have a jersey to play
3. Minor trash talk acceptable. No derogatory profanity is allowed. You will be give ONE warning
4. Any verbal assault will result in a technical foul. Two technical fouls = player ejected
5. Technical fouls count as personal and team fouls
6. The Refs have the final say with ALL calls. They are not obligated to explain anything about the call they made until after the game
7. Arguing with Refs will lead to a technical foul - PERIOD
8. Ref fee of $40 per ref, per game (i.e. 8 players on a team = $5 per player)
9. Two twenty-minute halves of RUNNING TIME. Last two minutes of the game is stopped time.
10. Four (4) time ours per game. One (1) time out per OT.
11. OT is an additional two (2) minutes
12. Forfeits will be given to all teams who show up fifteen (15) minutes late to their scheduled game
13. Jump Ball before each game and each OT
14. Subs must check-in before entering game. Subs are only allowed on a dead ball or time out.
15. Back court violations!
16. Fouls are two (2) shots per foul, also a 1 and 1 on the 7th team foul
17. Air ball is a violation!
