LEAGUE FORMAT

  1. Each team will be guaranteed to play 6 games for the elimination round (double round elims).
  2. All teams will be seeded after the elimination round and will play in the semifinals (twice to beat system).
  3. The top seed (1 -twice to beat advantage) will play the lowest seed (4) , the second seed (2 -twice to beat advantage) will play the third seed (3) *** in case of tie,winover the other shall apply and in case of triple tie,quotient system will apply***
  4. The winners will advance to the final round, and will play a knockout "championship game".
  5. Winner of this game will be declared "CHAMPIONS" of the Inaugural Season of the MMI Basketball League

IN GAME RULES

Important reminders
A. No complete uniform, no play, unless teams are willing to be penalized of 5 freethrows per player wthout complete uniform.
B. A 15min default time shall be strictly applied.
The winning team via default shall acquire 10 points.

QUARTERS, HALVES and TIMEOUTS
1. Each game will have "4" "10min quarters"
2. Running time shall be applied for each quarter,except timeouts and free throws.
3. Stop watch will only apply in the last 2 min count of the 4th quarter and ovetime period (5mins),if applicable.
4. Each team will have 2 timeouts for the 1st half and 3 timeouts for the second half and 1 timeount in the overtime period
5. Timeout shall only be 1minute.
6. There will be a 1minute break between quarters and 5min break between halves.

TEAM AND PLAYERS
7. Team enters penalty after committing 5 team fouls
8. Players can only commit 6 personal fouls to stay in the game
9. Technical fouls,Flagrant 1 and 2 fouls are considered personal fouls.
10.Technical fouls,Flagrant 1 and 2 fouls are subject for suspension/disqualification depending on the severity.
11. 2 Technical fouls and or 1 flagrant 2 foul shall result to automatic game ejection.
12. A player who has not played in the first half can no longer play for the remainder of the game.
13. FIBA rules shall be in effect at all times, and the Referee's decision is final,however in special and rare circumstance, the commissioner and board's decisions supersede the referee's decision.
