Good Morning Everyone -
Coach Reggie and I were very proud of our team at yesterday's tournament as St. John's Notre Dame. With six players, we played 3 games in 4 hours.
We began against St. Michael's, who I believe will be one of the top teams in the league. We jumped off to a lead and were ahead at half time before we went cold in the 3rd quarter, and eventually run out of gas and lost by 7. We bounced back to beat St. James and Sacred Heart and took 3rd place in the tournament. Most importantly the boys competed, showed heart, displayed good sportsmanship and seemed to really enjoy playing together. All great stuff to build on.
Just a reminder that we will be practicing tomorrow and Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. We are also looking ahead at our holiday practice schedule. To assist us with the planning, by end of day tomorrow, please let me know which days you son will not be available for practice between between Friday, December 20 and Sunday, January 5. We don't know practice times yet. More to come after we receive player availability information.
In addition, we do not yet know what night of week on which we will be playing our regular season schedule and beginning the first week in January, we will be increasing our practices to 3 to 4 practices a week. The specific days and times won't be available until the league schedule gets set which should be by the end of this week, but in all likelihood practice days will include Saturday and/or Sunday practices.
