Season 5 of HBA is coming to it's conclusion, with many ups and downs while teams try to battle for the robux prize, so I decided to make predictions of what teams are going to have a chance at that robux prize and how the playoffs will go with some advice for the underdogs.
EAST:
1.) Cavs vs. Hawks
Coming into this season, Cavs just had a hard fought finals loss, but they didn't have cooldude. They game out of this season on fire with him back in the lineup, but fell apart after 2 3v3 losses. They lost cooldude and cityconflict, but still have stix and inf with other roleplayers. The hawks are pretty solid team between ShinBlueFlash, L0nzo, and ShinRedFlash. This series will be a lot closer than anyone thinks, and for the hawks to win, they're going to need L0nzo to pass the ball more than he typically does, and the same with ShinblueFlash. Both these players are ball dominant, but they need excellent ball movement to get past this Cavs' stingy defense.
My Prediction: 4-2 Cavs
2.) Heat vs. Knicks
The heat started the season 7-2 while I owned them, and after giving them up they finished a respectable 11-6. This team is a great shooting team, but their defense is slacking. The Knicks will have Conductor back, along with Iann's great shooting ability, Ran's playmaking, and the spark plug in Kwame. This series is going to be very lopsided, as the Knicks have too much firepower.
My prediction: 4-0 Knicks
WEST:
1.) Rockets vs. Spurs
Spurs had a very rocky ending to the season, after their entire team went inactive. Their GM says that activity will be back up for the playoffs though, and this team was a solid 6-2 until the inactivity hit. The rockets, coming off a championship season, are still hot as ever, finishing tied for the best record at 13-3. The spurs will most likely be a bit rusty after such a long break, and against such a stacked Rockets roster, I don't see this series expanding past 4 games currently.
My prediction: 4-0 Rockets
2.) Clippers vs Pelicans
Both these teams have been extremely hot since midseason, Pelicans great addition of Karatinz has put them over the top from the worst in the West to the third best. They are a great all around team, and would easily make the eastern conference finals in the East. Sadly, they aren't in the east and are against one of the best on ball defending teams in the Clippers. Benkevin anchoring the defense, and fortial carrying the offensive load, I see this series being competitive, but the Clippers just have the overall better team.
My prediction: 4-1 Clippers
ECF:
Cavs vs. Knicks
If the Cavs have their full roster, they'd win this series in 4 or 5 games. But with missing cooldude and cityconflict, I don't see how they have any chance against the all around team in the Knicks. I see this series going to 6 games at best.
My prediction: 4-2 Knicks
WCF:
Rockets vs. Clippers
Potentially the best series of this entire playoffs, these two teams split the season series and finished the season at an astonishing 9-1 record in their final 10 games. The Clippers seem to be more of a 3v3 based team, while the Rockets are more of a 4v4 team. The WCF is a forced 4v4, so this favors the Rockets a bit. I see a very close series though, but at the end I think the Rockets will be too much.
My prediction: 4-1 Rockets
HBA FINALS:
Rockets vs. Knicks
If the Rockets manage to beat the Spurs and Clippers, I just don't see them struggling too much against the Knicks. The Knicks are a great team, but against such a well-rounded team in the Rockets, I don't think they stand much of a chance. I do think Conductor and Iann will work their magic and win a game or 2, but not 4.
My prediction: 4-2 Rockets
