With one week remaining, we have a four way tie for 3rd seed in the league. Amazingly, every single game next week will matter for playoff seeding. Here are the scenarios.
Current Standings
D-League (6-0) Next Week: vs LovHandlez (5-1)
LovHandlez (5-1) Next Week: vs D-League (6-0)
Mambas (3-3) Next Week: vs Ballers (3-3)
Ballers (3-3) Next Week: vs Mambas (3-3)
LockDown (3-3) Next Week: vs Blues (1-5)
Team Kobe (3-3) Next Week: vs Rippers (0-6)
Blues (1-5) Next Week: vs LockDown (3-3)
Rippers (0-6) Next Week: vs Rippers (0-6)
Tie breakers are as follows:
TWO WAY TIE
- Head to head record
THREE WAY TIE
Head to head record of teams within the tie
Record of tied teams vs #1 seed (if available)
2a. Record of tied teams vs #2 seed (if available)
2b. Record of tied teams vs. #3 seed (if available)
2c. Record of tied teams vs. #4 seed (if available)
2d. Record of tied teams vs. #5 seed (if available)
2e. Record of tied teams vs. #6 seed (if available)
2f. Record of tied teams vs. #7 seed (if available)
2g. Record of tied teams vs. #8 seed (if available)
- Point differential of ties teams within games with each other.
Once a determination has been made to find the best seed amongst the tied teams using the above THREE WAY TIE procedures, the remaining two teams will fall back to the TWO WAY TIE head to head record.
Point differential is the very last tiebreaker used, because in reality, Wins and Losses are what should matter. Garbage time points are hardly an indicator of a team's success. Thankfully, none of the forfeited games this season effect the point differential tiebreaker.
So, here are the potential playoff seeding scenarios for EACH TEAM.
D-League #1 seed with victory over LovHandlez.
2 seed with loss to LovHandlez.
LovHandlez #1 seed with victory over D-League.

3 seed with victory over Rippers AND Ballers loss AND LockDown loss.
4 seed with victory over Rippers AND Ballers loss AND LockDown win.
5 seed with victory over Rippers AND Ballers win AND LockDown win.
5 seed with loss to Rippers.
Blues #7 seed clinched, regardless of outcome of game with LockDown.
Rippers #8 seed clinched, regardless of outcome of game with Kobe.
Under only one scenario would we have to resort to the point differential tiebreaker. If Ballers, LockDown, and Kobe all win their games, we would have as tied of a 3 way tie as you ever could have. These three teams would then be 1-1 against each other, with all three losing to the #1 and #2 teams, and all three winning against the #6, #7, and #8 teams. In this case, the point differential advantage in games against the tied teams would go to Ballers (149-124, +25) beating out Kobe (118-101, +17) and LockDown (107-144, -37). This would earn Ballers the 3 seed, with head-to-head between Kobe and LockDown earning LockDown the 4, and Kobe the 5.
If there are any scenarios I missed, let me know. I am excited for the final week of the regular season. It is rare that every game in the last week actually matters, but in this case it does.
