Good Guys vs Tru Dat 60 - 50

Tru Dat came in undefeated, The Good Guys came in hungry. The size of Rami, Abdullah, and Sami proved to be the difference in this one. Rami had a stellar game, with 20 pts and 15rebounds. Their front court made everything difficult for True Dat in the paint. Monawar played the role of floor general while holding Hamadah in check defensively. Abe Humaisan scored 16pts and Khalid Saeed added 15pts. But from start to finish the Good Guys had control of this one. We caught up with Abe Humaisan after the game, here’s what he had to say, “that’s a big team, I didn’t realize how big they were”.

We Wyoming vs Lonyo and Co 66 - 56

This game started off close with Nour and Shaheed of Lonyo and Co keeping their team under control and in the game. When the second half started Lonyo and Co fell apart at the hands of Ali Qasem and Ameen Thalji. Ali had an outstanding game with 25 pts while Ameen killed the other team with his effort on the defensive end. The former MVP was a puppet master on the court handing out 9 assists. If Lonyo and Co want to make any noise this year they will have to put together a better team performance. After the game we caught up with Mohsin and he explained his frustrations, “Both teams played hard”.

Snake Squad vs Splikakkk 71 - 59

What started out as a battle between two of the best young players in the League, ended in a blowout due to a virtuoso performance from arguably the leagues most talented player. Hakeem posted a ridiculous stat line of 41pts 10reb 5asts, and literally could not be stopped. Hashem caught fire late trying to will his team back into this one but ultimately fell short. He ended the night with 29 pts, but didn’t get much help elsewhere. Mouheb and Rassam made some plays for the snake squad, and Aref grabbed some boards for Splikak but this game came down to the two stars, and Hakeem made a statement, MVP???

West Side Story vs Watch Out 45 - 53

Team Watch Out has not lost since week 1, Team West side stories has not won since week 1. Lo and behold nothing changes here. Salah posted a solid 20pts and 5reb, Manea controlled the pace with 13pts 6asts and Ammar provided relentless energy with 14pts and 11reb. Meanwhile Charlie is the only player on West side stories to hit double figures, Kyler will need to rally the troops here, there’s some talent on this roster, they just need to put it together.

Roulo and Co vs CC and Co - 51 - 48

This game went down to the wire, Shawn Williams of CC and Co had a great game posting 22 points with 16 of them inside the 3 point line. CC and Co fought hard to keep it a close game but Hamzah Omar’s 18 points and Obad Mawry’s tough lay up and the foul with 3 seconds left in the game was too much for CC and Co to handle. After the game we caught up with Basheer Altairi and this is what he had to say, “We played sloppy defense in transition, he [Shawn] just took advantage...we didn’t play with enough effort”. CC and Co will be looking to upset a team any given friday.
