Dauntless Scores A Second W

The Dauntless team played in its second game yesterday versus another debuting team of the season, the Batang MDC. The game was rough and physical and is very high paced. The Braves won the game through their patented defense, 86-73.
During the first quarter, both Dauntless and Batang MDC was in it. It was a battle that saw the two Patricio brothers lead the Batang MDC offense. The Braves called an early time out to strategize what defense they’ll employ against the two tall players.
Batang MDC took command of the first quarter, 18-14.
In the second canto, Dauntless relied on three players in scoring. Montemayor, Flores, and Sabagkit combined for 20 of the 22 points of the team. They also took the lead from the Batang MDC after two quarters, 36-35.
The third period saw Montemayor assert his presence inside. He scored eight of his 20 points in that quarter as he battled the Patricio brothers and Jacob positioning in the paint. JR Patricio also contered the attack on the other end with his own eight points. Unfortunately for the Batang MDC, the trap defense coupled with fast-paced
scoring of the Dauntless allowed them to increase the lead to double digits, as big as 15 points. The quarter ended 62-53 n favor of the Braves.
In the fourth period, The Dauntless didn’t relinquish the lead. They continued playing hard defense and try to convert off every Batang MDC turnover. The MDC, on the other hand was unable to convert some easy shots that could help them with their come back attempt. This was Dauntless’ second win.
Batang MDC will play Railroad next Sunday while Dauntless will return into action on February 9.
