🔥 Come Play Detroit Escapes with One-Point Victory in Instant Classic vs. KIG
There was only one dramatic finish this week and it was a game that had fans on the edge of their seats until the final buzzer, Come Play Detroit pulled off a thrilling 49–48 win over a relentless KIG squad, in what might be one of the most dramatic finishes of the season.

It was a back-and-forth battle where every possession felt like the game-winner. Mike Hand delivered from deep, knocking down three triples to pace CPD with 13 points, while Shaun Jerdel was everywhere—ripping rebounds (9), dropping dimes (4 assists), and causing chaos on defense with 3 steals. Jerdel’s hustle earned him a game-high 33.8 PPR, proving you don’t need buckets to dominate.

KIG didn’t go down without fireworks of their own. Ryan Otis was an offensive juggernaut, erupting for 24 points, and Elijah Sterin was simply electric—racking up a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards, along with 5 assists and 2 steals. The duo nearly stole the game, but KIG’s struggles with turnovers (12 total) and a lack of made field goals haunted them in the clutch.

The final minute was pure chaos—missed shots, fast breaks, and bodies hitting the floor. But when the dust settled, CPD held firm, securing the win and moving to 4-2 on the season, while KIG dropped to 3-3 in heartbreaking fashion.

If you love defense, drama, and down-to-the-wire finishes, this was the game to watch.

🔥 Surgical One Dials In and Dominates: Robbins Goes Off in 70–54 Statement Win
Surgical One didn’t just win—they operated with surgical precision, dismantling Dedicated Real Estate in a fiery 70–54 showdown that showcased why SG1 is quickly becoming the team no one wants to face.

The engine of the machine? Jordan Robbins, who delivered a 25-point, 13-rebound masterclass and looked completely unguardable all night. With a ridiculous 46.2 PPR, Robbins was playing chess while everyone else was stuck in checkers. Whether crashing the boards or burying shots, he made the game look effortless.

But it wasn’t a one-man show—Torin Wetzel and Mason Shroff splashed in three triples each, stretching the floor and torching the DRE defense from deep. SG1 as a team racked up seven 3-pointers, 32 rebounds, and moved the ball with confidence (11 assists), all while keeping their turnover count low.

To their credit, Dedicated Real Estate didn’t fold. Zef Dema brought the heat with 21 points and 3 threes, and Bryan Jones was a beast on the boards with 13 rebounds. But outside of those sparks, DRE struggled to find rhythm or stop the bleeding on defense.

Now at 5-1, Surgical One is looking sharp, dangerous, and postseason-ready. If they keep playing like this, someone’s going to need a miracle to slow them down.

🔥 Athletico Erupts for First Win, Drops 91 on Lit Financial in Offensive Showcase
Athletico (1-5) finally broke into the win column—and did it in explosive fashion—with a 91–75 blowout over Lit Financial, unleashing an offensive storm that had the scoreboard working overtime.

The star of the night? Bennie Szczepkowski, who delivered a monster 39-point performance with 4 threes and a dazzling 11 assists, finishing with an eye-popping 60.8 PPR. Simply put, Bennie was on another planet. Every time Lit tried to close the gap, he buried another dagger.

But Athletico’s win wasn’t a one-man show. RJ Kelly was a rebounding machine with 16 boards and 8 assists, flirting with a triple-double while setting the tone on both ends. Aaron Ginther chipped in 15 points and 7 assists, and Eric Evans knocked down a pair of threes to keep the flames lit.

Athletico moved the ball masterfully, finishing with a wild 34 assists and 37 rebounds, showing that this team can ball out when everything clicks.

On the other side, Lit Financial didn’t go quietly. Jon Radner led the charge with 29 points and 4 steals, while Michael Campbell and Karim Murray combined for 35 points and 13 rebounds. The trio kept the offense humming from deep, but Lit couldn’t keep pace with Athletico’s relentless firepower.

After five straight losses, Athletico came alive—and if this version of the team sticks around, the rest of the league better take notice.

🔥 Equitable Unleashes Three-Point Barrage, Blast Gatorade 93–69
Equitable (3-3) came into this matchup like a team with something to prove—and left absolutely no doubt. They torched the nets from deep, draining a sizzling 18 three-pointers en route to a dominant 93–69 win over Gatorade (1-5).

The flamethrower-in-chief? George Lawley, who turned the court into his personal shooting gallery, hitting 11 threes and finishing with a game-high 33 points. Lawley couldn’t miss—and Gatorade couldn’t stop the bleeding. Every time they blinked, another triple was raining down.

He wasn’t alone in the fireworks show. Eric Fishman buried five treys of his own, dropping 21 points and chipping in 6 rebounds and 2 assists in a smooth, high-efficiency performance. TJ Morris added 15 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals, keeping the energy sky-high on both ends and rode off into the sunset post-game on his motorcycle, like Maverick in Top Gun.

While Gatorade saw Josh Faehner go off for 36 points and 6 threes in a lone-wolf effort, the rest of the squad struggled to keep pace. Rhoynald Clay added 15, but with just one team steal and 8 total turnovers, Gatorade couldn't slow the onslaught or get anything easy on the other end.

Equitable, on the other hand, played nearly flawless team basketball—only 1 turnover, 6 steals, and laser-focused ball movement that led to open look after open look. This was a statement win, and if Lawley & Co. keep shooting like this, they might just shoot their way into title contention.

🔥 Rock City Rolls Past Datasite in Defensive Beatdown, 68–50
Rock City Logistics (4-2) came in with one goal: shut it down and light it up—and they delivered. In a gritty, physical matchup, RCL clamped down on Datasite (2-4) and walked away with a convincing 68–50 win that proved they’re not just built to score—they're built to grind.

Leading the charge was Hayden Croff, who turned the game into his personal highlight reel, drilling five threes on his way to 24 points, leaving Datasite scrambling to close out. Logan Ryan was a double-double machine, pulling down a monster 13 rebounds and adding 21 points, bullying the paint and bringing the hustle every possession.

Rock City’s defensive intensity was the real story. They held every single Datasite player not named Alex Phillips under 6 points, and forced tough shots all night. Phillips tried to carry the load with a heroic 28-point performance and 7 boards, but the one-man show wasn’t enough to crack RCL’s team defense.

With 34 rebounds, 8 assists, and only 3 turnovers, Rock City played clean, physical basketball and dominated the glass. Meanwhile, Datasite couldn't get their offense out of neutral—despite decent rebounding, they shot ice-cold and couldn’t match RCL’s firepower from deep.

This win puts Rock City firmly in the playoff conversation. If they can keep pairing lights-out shooting with lockdown defense, don’t be surprised if they crash the title picture.

🔥 Wallside Windows Shines Bright, beats Goldstein Dental 73–58
Wallside Windows (4-2) came into this one locked in—and left Goldstein Dental (1-5) looking like they’d just been hit by a high-speed offensive storm. In a game full of highlight plays and deep-range bombs, Wallside pulled away late to seal a dominant 73–58 win, powered by elite shooting and even better ball movement.

Sean Bednarsh was an absolute force, raining down six threes on his way to 22 points and 12 rebounds, looking like a walking double-double and stat-sheet nightmare. Meanwhile, Dylan Bressler lit it up from long range with five threes and 26 points, slicing through the defense like it wasn’t even there.

But the real glue? Josh Birnberg turned in a clinic in playmaking with a massive 10-point, 11-assist, 10-rebound triple-double threat, earning a stellar 42.0 PPR and running the show with cool precision.

Wallside wasn’t just firing—they were firing on all cylinders. They nailed 14 threes, dropped 20 assists, and grabbed 33 rebounds, playing crisp, unselfish, and confident basketball.

Goldstein Dental had its moments—Lavell Tyree was a monster on the boards with 17 rebounds, and Gerald Merriweather stayed hot from deep with 5 threes and 17 points. But turnovers (10 total) and cold shooting inside the arc sealed their fate.

This was Wallside at full power: lethal from three, locked in on the glass, and moving the ball like pros. If they keep this up, don’t be surprised to see them climbing the standings fast.

🔥 Airrington Harris Ignites for 46 as Play For A Cause Blasts Benzinga, 104–85
Play For A Cause (5-1) didn’t just win—they put on a show. In a high-octane shootout under the lights, PFAC lit up the scoreboard and ran away with a 104–85 victory over Benzinga (1-5), behind a scorching performance from the one-man inferno himself: Airrington Harris.

Harris was absolutely electric, dropping a career-high 46 points with 8 triples, while adding 7 rebounds and 6 assists for good measure. Every time he touched the ball, the crowd held its breath—and more often than not, it ended in three points and a celebration. With a ridiculous 65.2 PPR, he wasn’t just the best player on the court—he was the storm.

Alec Rood (19 pts, 5 threes) and Trent Baar (13 pts, 8 boards) added fuel to the fire, and Adam Gates quietly stuffed the stat sheet with 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists, proving PFAC’s firepower runs deep. With 15 made threes, 17 assists, and 35 rebounds, they played with pace, precision, and pure confidence.

Benzinga brought their own fireworks—Connor Cleary poured in 30 points and snatched 11 rebounds in a valiant solo effort, and Ian McDonald kept it close early with 15 points and 5 threes of his own. But without bench depth and struggling to match PFAC’s tempo, Benzinga simply couldn’t hang for four quarters.

This was a statement game for PFAC—fast, fearless, and full of flair. And if Airrington Harris keeps playing like this, they’re going to be a nightmare come playoff time.

🔥 Stride/S.I.G. Stays Perfect, Blows Past Swift Home Loans 85–52
Stride/S.I.G. (6-0) just put the league on notice—again. In one of their most dominant showings yet, the undefeated squad ran Swift Home Loans (4-2) off the court in a commanding 85–52 victory, proving once more that they don’t just win—they crush souls while they’re at it.

This one was over fast. Mark Ghafari lit the fuse early with a barrage of threes en route to 23 points, while Cody Borst delivered one of the most complete performances of the season—19 points, a monstrous 17 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals, racking up a beastly 51.8 PPR. He was everywhere—cleaning the glass, dropping dimes, and hitting from deep (once).

Stride’s arsenal of shooters were on full display: 13 made threes, 23 assists, and 39 total rebounds. They moved the ball like a symphony and defended like a pack of wolves, suffocating SHL with relentless pressure and precision.

Swift Home Loans had few answers. CJ Towns battled hard with 18 points and 3 assists, while Nicholas Margetic added hustle stats with 7 rebounds and 3 assists. But outside of that, SHL struggled to generate consistent offense and were outmatched in every phase of the game.

With six straight wins and zero signs of slowing down, Stride/S.I.G. has all the makings of a championship squad: depth, chemistry, and deadly shooting. If you're not game-planning for every single player on that roster, you're already behind.
