Jace Easley scored 39 points, Conor McCaffrey and Drew Dejaynes added 14 for the Eagles on Tuesday night as they defeated Pleasant Plains in the LSA/Sangamo Challenge.

Easley, a preseason All-State JV and potential player of the year candiadate, leads the nation in scoring at 31.4 points per game. He did not take a shot in the first 4 minutes of the game, but finished the first half with 22 points on 9-9 shooting. For the game, he was 14-21 from the field and made 9 of 10 free throws.

Easley scored 14 early third quarter points and his nasty reverse layup with 3:30 to go in the 3rd quarter gave Our Savior's a 56-43 lead. Drew Dejaynes 3-pointer extended the lead to 59-43.

At that point, the pace slowed down for Our Savior's and Pleasant Plains drew within 67-62 when Carter Durako hit a 3-pointer with just under 4 minutes to go.

Our Savior's (4-2) pushed the lead to 71-63 at the final officals timeout then made 11 of 12 free throws in the final 2 minutes, including 8-8 by Easley and McCaffrey.

Michael Carter led Pleasant Plains with a season-high 24 points off the bench. Danny Skeleton had 15 points and Liam Hatfield scored 13 for the Cardinals (3-3).
