As the CBA continues to look for a League sponsor and teams also looking for sponsors the sports infrastructure leaves much to be desired. During the open tournament a number of teams lost some of their best players due to injuries brought on by bad surface on the courts, two of some of the most decorated players from Lunga Bullets took it upon themselves to help the sport by working on the Sinozam court. with their own resources they have scrapped the slippery parts of the court a sacrifice that requires a standing ovation, hats off to Mr. Kasonso and Mr. Nsalamba this sacrifice will be forever remembered in every basketball lovers’ heart on the CB.
One wonders where is the private sector is in all this how are the helping the sport, how are they helping the kids in our communities, where is their social responsibility

Kitwe playing fields (KPF) has the land area to build courts but no company nor individual has brought about plans to develop the land at the fields.
Copperbelt university posses two courts but only one is active which is in poor state, keep in mind this is the home of the defending Champions Comets, where is the administration? Keep also in mind this is the second highest learning institution in the country but it has a basketball court full of cracks and potholes.
All eyes are on the Copperbelt Basketball Association to see how they will tackle the issue of the infrastructure and getting a league sponsor.
