Thursday featured three exciting games that went down to the wire. Léo-Rémillard built an early lead and then survived a late push by the Broncos to open with a 3-1 win. The Clippers scored with 25 seconds left in the game to edge the tournament hosts at Gateway. The night cap featured a tight checking affair between Sanford and Powerview-Sagkeeng with the Sabres edging the Wild 2-1.

We'll see what day two brings, with all teams in action at least once. Churchill (vs Miles Mac) and Morris (vs Kelvin) start the day off with their tournament debuts.
