To our participating teams and supporters - welcome to the 3rd annual Buckeye Bowl!
General Information
- Schedules, results/standings, and statistics will all be updated on the website throughout the event.
- ADMISSION - $10 for a tournament pass or $5 per game.
- There will be a 50/50 draw each day and also the opportunity to enter a raffle for great prizes.
- Each game will feature a "Player of the Game" award. The tournament committee will also select an all-star team and tournament MVP.

Tournament Format and Rules
Each team will play three games in pool play over Nov. 10-11. The top two teams in each pool will move on to the playoff round. The bottom two teams in each pool will move on to the consolation round.
With the exception of the items noted below, we will be using WHSHL rules and will abide by the constitution in determining supplementary discipline in the case of on ice or off ice infractions offences.
Exceptions
There will be no overtime in round robin play. In the playoff round, regular season WHSHL rules will apply (a 5 minute 3v3 followed by a 3 player shootout).
In the round robin the following points formula will be used:
Win = 2 points
Tie = 1 point
Loss = 0 points
The following tiebreakers will be used in the event of a tie between two teams in the standings:
Most wins
Head to head matchup (the winner of the round robin game would advance)
Best goal ratio (goals scored plus goals allowed divided by goals allowed)
Fewest penalty minutes in the round robin
Coin flip
The following tiebreakers will be used in the event of a tie between three or more teams in the standings:
Most wins
Most points in head to head matchups between the tied teams
Best goal ratio (goals scored plus goals allowed divided by goals allowed)
Fewest penalty minutes in the round robin
Coin flip
The final decision of the tournament committee will be final in all disputes.
