Tournament Format and Rules

Each team will play three games in pool play over Nov. 10-11. The top two teams in each pool will move on to the playoff round. The bottom two teams in each pool will move on to the consolation round.

With the exception of the items noted below, we will be using WHSHL rules and will abide by the constitution in determining supplementary discipline in the case of on ice or off ice infractions offences.

Exceptions

There will be no overtime in round robin play. In the playoff round, regular season WHSHL rules will apply (a 5 minute 3v3 followed by a 3 player shootout).

In the round robin the following points formula will be used:

Win = 2 points

Tie = 1 point

Loss = 0 points

The following tiebreakers will be used in the event of a tie between two teams in the standings:

Most wins
Head to head matchup (the winner of the round robin game would advance)
Best goal ratio (goals scored plus goals allowed divided by goals allowed)
Fewest penalty minutes in the round robin
Coin flip
