The Binghamton Premier Basketball League Handbook
Season Dates: December 10th - February 27th (League is 17 and over).

Registration Dates: Must register by Friday November 23rd

League Fees:

$75.00 per player paid prior to November 23rd (BPBL team shirt is included in this price)
$5.00 ref fee per player per game.

Teams:

*8 teams maxiumum in the league.
*Every team must have a minimum of 8 players. The Free Agent team will have anywhere between 8 (minimum) and 10 (maximum) players.

*Captains must pay a deposit of 5 roster spots for a total of $375.00 ($75 league fees X 5 roster spots) to secure your team. Remaining balance of all registered players is due by 11/23/18 or each player shall incur a $20.00 late registration fee. Deposits are 100% Non-refundable.

Regular Season: 10 regular season games. .
Playoffs: Top SIX (6) teams make playoffs. Playoff format will be single elimination quarterfinal, best of 3 semifinals and best of 3 finals.

Referee Fees: $5 per player paid in cash to your captain prior to tipoff. Captain will pay full amount at the scorers table once they have collected from their players.

Location: Davis College

Game nights: 2 Mondays (12/10 and 12/17) and 8 Wednesdays (Starting 12/12) .

ELAM ENDING. Winter2018 will be played with the Elam Ending. If you don't know what it is, google it.
NEW - Jersey rule: If you don't have your current Winter2018 jersey, there will be a 2 shot technical enforced (2 shots per missing shirt).

Clock stops last 30 seconds of the first half.

Top 6 teams make the playoffs. Since we have shrunk down to 8 total teams, we will be taking the Top 6 (3 from each division) to the playoffs for a semifinal best of 3, championship best of 3 series.

We are selling Team names for the Winter2018 season for $300.00. Go out to your local businesses and try to sell your team name. They get their business name on the back of your team jersey AND on our website. This is great advertising for businesses and a tax write-off for them….And the best part is you get paid $150 cash for your efforts. Thats right folks, sell your bpbl team name and make a cool $150 in your pocket. First 8 sold only and must be sold no later than 11/30/18!

**Selling a team name does not effect anyone's League Fees, it is strictly for advertising purposes for the business, and a way for players to make money through the Premier League.

First come first serve registration!

Referee Fees - League fees do not include ref fees. Ref fees are $5.00 (CASH ONLY) per game per player, paid to your team captain prior to tipoff. Captain shall collect ref fees from all players on his team and pay full amount owed for the team to the scorers table. Ref fees must be paid in full before starting each game (Not at halftime or after the game).

Sub Rules - Teams are eligible to use subs for regular season games only. Sub fees will be $5.00 per player per game (plus $5.00 ref fees). Subs may not be brought in for postseason games. No monetary cap on sub fees, and they are not eligible for postseason play.

Late registration - Any player that registers AFTER the deadline, may still register, but they will incur a $20.00 late registration fee.

No Full-time players will be added after game 5.

League Rules

Player eligibility - Once a player plays in a game, they are ineligible to play for any other team during that season.

Game rules:
*20 minute running halves.
Elam Ending - Clock stops at first whistle under 4 minutes and target score will be set. (Target score will be 7 points+ team with highest score. Example: If the score is 80-75, the target score will be 87, and the first team to reach 87 wins).

3 minute warmup time before games.
2 minute halftime.
Each team gets Three timeouts per game.

Personal/Technical fouls - We use the NCAA format for Any players who have fouled out, except we allow 6 fouls. Two technical fouls and a player is ejected for the remainder of that game. If a player is ejected twice during a season, they are suspended 1 game.

Champions - League champs for this season will each be getting a BPBL Championship Dryfit T-shirt.
