2026 SEASON FINAL WRITE-UP
Well, that’s the end of the 2026 season. Here it is my final write-up of the year. Before I get into it, I just want to thank every single player who trusted me to provide you with this service. Coming down into my office on Sundays to type write ups, record stats, and help document this league is incredibly rewarding. Seeing this league grow at a pace I never could have imagined is absolutely mind-blowing. It is truly a privilege and a blessing to work and play alongside each and every one of you. I can’t wait for 2027 already. Together, we have set the bar for ball hockey around here always and forever. And as you all know, I never let off the gas.

CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND GAME 2
Kent Bridge Bin Boyz — 5 Crow City Kings — 2
All eyes were on the Crow City Kings. With the Bin Boyz holding a 1–0 series lead, the Kings came into Game 2 looking to even things up and force a deciding Game 3. What followed was one of the tightest games of the playoffs. In fact, both teams recorded some of the lowest shot totals we have seen throughout the postseason, and absolutely nothing came easy. The Bin Boyz struck first, with Matt Harris opening the scoring to give Kent Bridge a 1–0 lead. The Kings answered right back, with Zach Drummond finding the back of the net to tie the game. Then Joey Ray gave Crow City the lead, putting the Kings in position to potentially force that Game 3 they were looking for.
But there has been one thing we have talked about all playoffs long: Youth and speed are incredibly difficult to beat.
The Kent Bridge Bin Boyz, averaging under 22 years of age, turned it on when it mattered most.
Four.
Yes FOUR more goals.
Four goals that ultimately crowned the youngest team in the league champions of the 2026 season.
For the Kings, who have made a habit of playing exceptionally well while short-benched, they found themselves missing some key pieces in the championship finale, including star defender Hudson Mallett, along with the nifty hands of Jay Verscheure, Taylor Hughes and Jake Fancy. But even with those absences, the Kings gave absolutely everything they had.
And then came one of my favourite moments of the entire season. At the end of the game, the Crow City Kings gathered along the blue line and, led by captain Austin McQuiggan, tapped their sticks in celebration of the Bin Boyz championship.
The handshakes were long.
The laughs were there.
And the respect was obvious.
This is why I love this sport. At the end of every championship, someone has to lose. But regardless of the outcome, both of these teams showed exactly how you win and lose with the utmost class.
That is what this league is about. Hats off to both teams.
And a massive congratulations once again to the KENT BRIDGE BIN BOYZ YOUR 2026 4 COUNTIES CUP CHAMPIONS!
What a way to finish the season.
