Nuggets (4-0): The Nuggets have clinched at least a number two seed. In the league’s regular season finale, they will matchup against the Warriors in what has now ultimately become the regular season championship, the first matchup in BGBL history between two undefeated teams this late in the season. The winner will be the one seed, and the loser will be the two seed.
Warriors (4-0): The Warriors are in an identical situation as their undefeated counterpart. The two teams' contest Monday night will determine the number one overall seed. Many experts are expecting this to be a preview of the 2018 BGBL Finals, as well.
Rockets (3-3): The Rockets concluded their regular season last week, along with clinching a postseason berth. However, where they end up in the playoff picture is yet to be decided. As long as the Celtics lose at least one of their last two games, the Rockets will clinch the number three seed. However, if Boston wins out, the Rockets will wind up in the play-in game.
76ers (2-3): The best Philly can do is the play-in game. However, that is most likely where they will end up. With a Philly victory against the Celtics Sunday night, a 76ers-Heat play-in game would be locked in. Even if the 76ers lose to the Celtics, they could still make their way into the play-in game, as long as the Heat lose to the Warriors. However, if the Heat pull off an upset victory against Golden State, the 76ers' game against the Celtics essentially becomes a must-win for them.
Heat (2-3): The Heat can clinch a postseason berth with a victory against the Warriors. In the case that does not happen, however, they can still very likely find their way into the play-in game as long as the 76ers beat the Celtics. If both the Heat and 76ers fall on Sunday night, South Beach would have to hope for a Celtics loss to the Thunder on Monday night to have any chance of making the postseason.
Celtics (1-3): The Celtics can go as high as obtaining a three seed to as low as being one of the two teams not qualifying for the postseason. If they win out, and the Heat lose to the Warriors, the Celtics will be the three seed. If the Celtics lose to the 76ers Sunday night, they will be eliminated from playoff contention.
Thunder (0-4): Mathematically speaking, the Thunder can actually still find their way into the play-in game, and a lot of it is up to them. The only help they really need is a Celtics victory over the 76ers in the late game Sunday night. As long as that happens, the Thunder need to win their last two games in order to force a point differential tiebreaker between themselves, Philly, Boston, and possibly Miami. Currently, the Thunder would lose this tiebreaker but if they win each of their last 2 games by about double figures, they could end up with a postseason berth.
