- Time between quarters will be 1 minute. The halftime will be 2-3 minutes long or less.
- We will try to start on time every game on the hour so please get warm during previous game as warm up time could be minimal.
- We play 4, 12 minute quarters with a running clock. The clock will stop the final 5 seconds of the first 3 quarters. The clock will stop in the fourth quarter for dead balls under 2 minutes and on made baskets in the last minute of the game unless the lead is more than 10 points (11 or higher). The losing team can concede if the captain chooses to do so at any time under 2 minutes.
- Each team will be allowed 3 timeouts per game. One additional timeout is awarded for each overtime period. Timeouts are 30 seconds long. Timeouts do NOT carry into overtime so only 1 TO can be taken in each OT.
- The first overtime period is 2 minutes. Each additional overtime period is 1 minute.
- Each player gets 6 fouls. A technical foul assessed against a player will be counted as a personal foul. The player that has reached their foul limit has fouled out of the game and cannot continue to play.
- If a player receives two technical fouls in one game, he will be ejected from that game and will not be allowed to play in the following game. His team will not be eligible for a sub the following week.
- Technical fouls will award the other team two free-throws and the ball.
- Once a team has 7 fouls in a half, the other team will shoot a bonus free-throw (1 in 1 opportunity). Double bonus will be assessed after a team has 10 fouls in a half.
- A player may foul the person with the ball intentionally in order to get them to shoot free-throws (as long as it's not a flagrant foul which is at the discretion of the refs).
- A flagrant foul will also be two shots and the ball. If it's clear there was intent to harm the player with the foul, the refs can eject the player from the game. If a player is ejected they will not be allowed to play in the following game or will be dismissed from league.
- Disrespect to officials will not be tolerated. No game will be called perfect, players need to play and avoid ref confrontations at all costs. Captains will be designated spokesman for each team if there is an officiating issue.
- If the ball hits the top of the backboard and stays on the side of the rim, it's still in play. If the ball goes over the backboard (even if it doesn't hit the top of the backboard), it's out of bounds. If the ball hits the support beam or wire it is out of bounds.
- On free-throws, you may enter the lane once the ball is released. Free-throw shooter may not enter the lane until the ball hits the rim. Players outside the 3 point line may NOT cross the 3 point line until the ball hits the rim.
