About the Tournament
This is a player-run outdoor basketball tournament based in Berwick, Melbourne, built for competitive hoops without the restrictions of traditional officiating.
Games are played without referees, fouls, or free throws, placing responsibility on the players to keep the game fair, physical, and moving. With a 50-minute running clock, self-regulated play, and a playoff series to decide the winner, the tournament rewards toughness, efficiency, and basketball IQ.
All games and statistics are recorded by players, meaning numbers are unofficial and used to show tendencies rather than settle arguments. What matters most is what happens on the court — effort, impact, and respect for the game.
This tournament exists to create:
Real competition
Fast, uninterrupted games
Accountability between players
A true blacktop basketball environment
If you step on the court, you’re expected to play hard, play smart, and handle disputes like a competitor.
