What's the word Play For Peace League!!!!!! I am honored to join you guys for the next few weeks and getting the opportunity to share my thoughts and put out some gameday predictions that are going to have few of you scratching your heads. Lets get started shall we....

10:00 a.m. Cincinnati Bearcats 5-1 vs UW Milwaukee Panthers 2-4
Having an early morning game is never easy, especially for adults these days. There’s always a situation at hand, rather it’s barely having enough to start the game, or guys just starting lethargic. Anyway, it goes this can be an interesting game if UW-Milwaukee can show up prepared. It will be a tall and difficult task when facing Dio, Terrance, and Keontae, whose over the past 3 games has averaged collectively over 45 ppg. Nothing to take away from what UW-Milwaukee has been put produce over the past three weeks. Alijah Matthews of UW has put the league on notice. Hot Rod is playing much better, and Malcolm Pickett has been the X factor these past three weeks in producing a double double these past two weeks. I believe Cincinnati backcourt will harass Alijah with the tenacious defensive skill set, forcing someone from UW-Milwaukee to be the playmaker. Bigger question, can UW-Milwaukee keep up in a sense of defending, and playing at a consistent pace that allows then to stay in the game???
Bottom Line: Cincinnati wins by 8

11:00 p.m. Marquette 3-3 vs Texas Longhorns 3-3
What a busy week it has been for both squads. With the portal reopening both teams made moves that could either be the saving grace of their season, or the gamble that was not worth of acquiring. My golden eagles acquired one of the best two-way players in the league in acquiring Kobe. As if Ant Thomas isn’t enough to worry about already, I think bringing Kobe aboard brings on another veteran that can contribute to big wins, defensive intensity, get you open looks with his kick and dry, his overall vocal engagement, and willingness to sacrifice for the team. Team Texas made a few moves themselves. I’m highly intrigued with the Aaron Whiteside add on amongst others, but this kid can flat out play and will help in that backcourt alongside Randy Johnson. Shelton will have to play more assertively; they will have to utilize their big James Flippin more effectively than they have all season. If James Kelley shows this game won’t be as easy as many think.
Bottom Line: Marquette wins by 7

12:00 p.m. Southwest Missouri 3-3 vs Oregon Ducks 2-4
This is a game I anticipate being a close one. Southwest Missouri acquired two solid pieces, one being Coop from Marquette, and sharp shooter Zeek from Texas. But is it enough??? One thing we can’t underestimate is Coach Wol ability to put it together when the picture is unclear yet. With the departure of Kobe and D Brooks, Brian Bearden will take even more of a prominent role than before. I’m sure Brian doesn’t mind taking over things a bit, but I’m wondering whose going is going to 1B? Who is going to be that vocal leader aside from the coach for Southwest ???? Southwest has options for sure; it’s going to be interesting to see how Coach Wol game plans around to share the load. Defensively I believe they will be fine as long as they guard with the same intensity as before. Oregon is head scratcher for me. They quality players on the roster however some have not shown consistently. Coach Jon needs to put his players in better positions to win. I am a huge fan of QiAndre Washington who is definitely a top 10 talent in the league, however I feel like Coach Jon doesn’t work through him enough, and early. The athletic wings have to execute better in a finishing at the rim, sheesh these guys miss a lot at the rim. Oregon doesn’t rebound the ball well and that potentially hurt them vs Southwest Missouri. If Oregon plays to their potential they will be right there in the end.
Bottom Line: Southwest Missouri wins by 6

1:00 p.m. Carroll College 4-2 vs Wisconsin Badgers 0-6
Carroll College will look to rebound after losing at the buzzer last week to UCLA. I usually don’t like to count my chickens before they hatch, but you can almost count this as an automatic win. I mean that RESPECTFULLY!!!! Wisconsin has acquired a few pieces that can get him a bucket, and someone that’s going to be that floor sergeant (D Brooks) in keeping guys in line. Nate Walker and Darvell Brown are definitely high-volume shooters, but can they and will they share the pall when it needs to be shared? Defend with more urgency? Carroll College will push pace on offense, and claw at you on the defensive end, they have a way of tiring opponents with their physicality and scoring spurts that potentially increase their leads from single digits to double digits within a short period of time. Aside from last week Wisconsin loss by an average of 13 pts per game and giving up a league high 72 points per game meanwhile Carroll College averages 67 pts per game. This can get ugly fast!!!!!!
Bottom Line: Carroll College wins by 13

2:00 p.m. Jackson State Tigers 3-3 vs UCLA Bruins 5-1 G.O.T.W (Game Of The Week)
Yeah, I will have my popcorn ready for this one!!!! Jackson State “THEE I LUV” is the hottest team in the league right now after starting 0-3 hasn’t loss a game in a month. Leland March and Javion Scaife are looking like the best 1-2 punch in the league or should I say backcourt in the league. These two guards have been nothing short of amazing. Collectively is fun to see that guys have really brought into Coach Tae’s system, and it is proven to work. Jackson State bigs are being used more efficiently and I wait to see how they juggernaut UCLA Bruins this afternoon. Matt Mire and Duck Patterson will have to play better if they won’t end Jackson State winning streak. For the past two weeks this backcourt has gone from averaging 38.9 ppg to only averaging 19.6 ppg. Talk about a landslide of a performance UCLA always needs these two guys on their A game. Grant it UCLA has found other ways to get it done, but when your facing great teams, you need your go to guys on on their best game. UCLA is arguably the best rebounding team in the league outrebounding opponents in just about every contest this season. Their guards, wings, bigs rebound well and Jackson State can afford to not account for a player when that ball is coming off the room. Can Jackson State bigs keep UCLA off the glass? If so they will have a better chance of winning? Can Matt Mire and Duck produce more with efficiency with shots taken? If shots taken are within a flow and not forced, then look for the dynamic duo to cause havoc?
Bottom Line: Jackson State wins by 3
