Experts have recently announced that the winner for the Clutch Player of the Year Award has been granted to Chet Wootten, a young guard for the Los Angeles Fakers. For those of you unfamiliar with what 'Clutch' means in terms of basketball performance, you have 2 options. Your first option is to allow me to tell you that 'The Clutch' is the time of the game that is most critical, or the end of the game. In terms of our evaluation, clutch statistics are calculated by looking at the last 30 plays of each game, and looking at the final metrics. Your second option is to ask Chet. Why? Because not only does he have the most points and field goal makes in the clutch of any player in the league, he also has one of the highest clutch shooting accuracy's, the second highest clutch turnovers forced, and the second highest clutch steals made. Chet has made his impact on games when it has mattered most, particularly when it comes to shooting. Although the Fakers generally haven't been able to win games down the stretch, that hasn't stopped Chet from performing. Chet has even drawn more fouls in the clutch than any other player in the league, and Chet himself hasn't fouled once in the clutch! His ability to bring his game to the next level, and empower his team when they need it most has been exciting to watch, and all-the-more enforces the case for Chet to be awarded the Clutch Player of the Year, as he continues to make impacts on ABL History.
