In yesterday's incredible blowout, the Los Angeles Fakers soared to a 28 point victory over the New York Bricks, at a final score of 33 to 5. This Faker dub marks the largest win in ABL history, as well as the first Faker win of the season. The Fakers beat the Bricks in almost every metric. The Fakers tallied 16 field goal makes, the Bricks only 2, and the Fakers also snagged 20 rebounds to the Bricks 12. On top of that, Steals and Assists have their own stories to tell. The Fakers grabbed 15 steals to the Bricks 1, and the Fakers hit 11 assists, with the Bricks only tallying 1. This wan't just a blowout in points, but, in almost every statistic, the Fakers showed vengeful superiority.

Darcy and Zach led the way in scoring for the Fakers. Darcy, who put on a routine MVP performance, hit 12 points on a staggering 66.67% accuracy. Zach, who followed close behind, put up his best of the season with 10 points on 55.56% accuracy. Notably, neither Zach or Darcy hit any 3s or free throw's; they did it all from 2-point range. Chet aided the Fakers as well, providing some backcourt support. He knoched 4 assists on 9 passes made, setting up Darcy and Zach for their big-time shooting spree's. However, Chet also pitched in 5 points, but at a costly 28.57% accuracy. Chet hoisted 2 3-pointers, and was unable to knock down either, but he did pick up 1 point from the free throw line (the only one of the game). Gaius also had an excellent showing off the bench. He pitched in 3 steals, and forced 3 more other turnovers. If there was any weak spot for the Fakers, it was Nolan going 0-for-3 from the field, and commiting 4 turnovers.
On the Bricks side of things, Carlton struggled from the field, going a mere 1-for-8 and commiting 6 turnovers. Cade, who went 0-for-4 from the field, also commited 2 turnovers. As a matter of fact, the whole team was in a shooting slump, with Jake going 0-for-1 and Garrett going 0-for-2. The only bright spot for the Bricks was Brandt. He shot 1-for-4 from the field and grabbed 3 rebounds, but he also committed 3 turnovers plus 2 bad passes.

This game could mark a momentum shift for the Fakers. Although they have a 1-2-0 record, they have the better +/- with 6.7 points because of this blowout win. Keep an eye out for our next game, which is coming to Ashland Fieldhouse on May 13th. Will the Bricks restore order or will the Fakers continue their momentum?

Injury Update:
Orlando, who has been out for more than 2 months with an arm fracture, is a Game-Time-Decision for next week, and could return for the Bricks if he is able to play.

Statistics shown are drawn from the latest records of Play-By-Play data confirmed through game footage.
