**KBL Game Rules & Governing Rules **

1.*** Governing Rules ***
a. NBA rules govern play except where the supplemental rules indicate otherwise. Any matter not covered in the rules will be left up to the league director
**2. Game Times **
a. (4) 10- minute quarters running clock until 2 minute mark
b. 3 minute halftime
c. No grace period!! Teams not able to play at the scheduled time will forfeit
3. Game Clock
The game clock will stop for the following:
a. Dead ball situations during the final minute of the 1st half and last 3 minutes of the 2nd UNLESS POINT SPREAD IS 20+(2nd Half only)
b. Game ball stays at the scores table or with ref during timeouts.
4. TIME-OUTS
a. 2 per team – per half
b. Time-outs DO NOT CARRY OVER into the next half or overtime
**5. Team Fouls **
a. Upon the 7th team foul per half, opposing team will shoot 1 & 1
b. Upon 10th team foul per half, team will shoot 2 ( double bonus)
**6. Player Foul Limit **
a. A player is disqualified from the game receiving their 6th foul

**7. Minimum Player Requirements **
Team(s) will be allowed to start a game with 4 players. Less than 4 players will result in a forfeit
8. Free Throws

A player may enter the key once the ball is released
9. Intentional Fouls
a. 2 free throws and possession of the ball to opponent
b. If teams stops fastbreak with foul 1 free throw and the ball
**10. Overtime **
a. 2 minute period for the 1st overtime, 1 minute for additional overtimes if needed
b. Clock will stop on all dead ball situations
c. 1 timeout per overtime period( they do not carry over)
d. Jump ball will determine possession
**11. Uniform requirements **
a. Teams must wear similar jersey and same colors shorts with jersey number on the back
b. Hats, Bandannas, durags, jewelry, etc. are not to be worn.

PENALTY: any violation of the uniform requirements will result in a technical foul charged to the team. Violations are discretion of referees

1. Technical fouls:
Violations are at referees discretion!!

Children at Games: children bought to games must be accounted for they are not allowed to sit on the benches. If a game is interrupted by a ball, pacifier, bottle, etc rolling on to the court… the following penalties are warranted:

1st offense (warning) 2nd offense( technical foul) 3rd offense (will result in a forfeit)
