2023 Kye Basketball League Rules
**1. Roster Requirements: **
a. All players must sign the “Team Roster and Waivert” form before playing.

b. If a player plays before signing the “Team Roster and Consent” form, that person’s team will forfeit all games he or. c. Rosters will consist of a minimum of 6 players and a maximum of 12 players.

d. The minimum participation age is 18.
e. On the “Team Roster and Consent” form, each team must list a manager as the contact for the Recreation Department to communicate with.
*** 2. Forfeited Games**: Games will be forfeited in the following situations: a. If a team does not have at least 4 eligible players on the court ready to play within 10 minutes after the scheduled game time. This 10-minute period, if used,will result in a running clock for the first half

3. Players: **
a. A player has until the start of the 6th game of the season to change teams.

b. Players may change teams only ONCE during the season.

c. New players may be added to the roster at any time during the regular season, but must sign the “Team Roster and Consent” form before they can play.
d. Players must have played in at least 6 regular season games to qualify to play in the end of season tournament.

e. Anyone currently on a high school basketball team may May play in the Adult Basketball League.

f. If a team has an ineligible player (i.e. underage, not on the roster, hasn’t signed the roster), the team will forfeit all games he has played in.
*** 4. Player Conduct:*** No unsportsmanlike conduct, including, but not limited to foul language, out of control tempers or unnecessary roughness, will not be tolerated. This is a respected adult league! The following actions will be taken:
a. Any player who throws a ball in a flagrant manner will be automatically ejected from the game.

b. Anyone who receives 2 conduct technical fouls in one game will be ejected from that game and the following league game; and any additional games for excessiveness.

c. 2 technical fouls of any kind and that player will be ejected from that game and the following game.

d. Once a team receives a 4th conduct technical foul of the season, that team will forfeit that game and the following game.

e. An ejected player who stays in the bleachers and/or surrounding area before and/or after the game and subjects the official(s) or gym supervisor to ridicule or verbal abuse will be suspended for 2 additional games and possibly for the remainder of the season.

f. Any player ejected from the game for unsportsmanlike conduct will be suspended for that game and the following game.
- $30 SUSPENSION FEE MUST BE PAID BEFORE RETURNING TO THEIR RESPECTIVE TEAMS
g. For safety team members on the bench must remain behind the sideline and not interfere with play. Officials will give one warning then eject any team members who do not remain behind the sideline.

h. Players engaging in any fight shall be suspended from the game and be *suspended for the season. *
i. If a player, manager, or spectator swings at another player, manager, official, or gym supervisor during or after a game, that person will be suspended from the League and any City of Page sponsored or co sponsored programs for at least one complete year.
**5. Officials: **
a. All officials’ calls are final. Officials may eject any player, spectator, or manager from the facility for refusing to follow game or facility rules, or for disrespectful, unsafe or unsportsmanlike conduct or for any abusive language.

b. Players who make bodily contact or threatening gestures against any official will be removed from the Adult Basketball League. Officials may forfeit any game in which they feel their own or other’s safety is threatened and may call the police.

**7. Manager Responsibilities: **
a. It is the manager’s responsibility to inform the team of and implement all league policies, and regulations.

b. Mangers must present a lineup to the scorekeeper with players’ names and numbers by the start of the game.

c. Only the team manager may ask referees for clarification of rules or information on technical foul infractions and ejections, or bring team concerns to the Recreation Department. No other player shall discuss a decision reached by an official.

d. If a player’s conduct disrupts the game, the game will be stopped. The game clock will continue to run for the time it takes to resolve the issue.
**8. Gym Use: **
a. Use of alcoholic beverages and/or tobacco products by players, managers or spectators will not be permitted in the gym or on the

b. Anyone under the influence of alcohol or an illegal substance won’t be allowed to participate in league play and will be asked to leave the gym.
c. No pets of any kind are allowed in any of the gyms.

d. No outside chairs are allowed in any of the gyms as they may scratch up the floors.

e. No riding of bicycles, skateboards, scooters, skates, or any other wheeled vehicles is allowed in any of the gyms.

f. Children under 10 years and younger must be must always be by an adult . Children of any age may not gather or play in any l areas outside of the gym during the Adult Basketball League. Players unable to supervise their children during games, will be asked to stop play and supervise their children.

**9. Gym Care: **
a. Teams must assume responsibility for the school facilities being used. Lack of responsibility will result in suspension from the league. b. Please pick up trash and properly dispose of it.

c. Anyone responsible for vandalizing any part of the school district’s facilities will be arrested and held financially responsible for any and all damages; including damages done by unsupervised children.

d. If a member of the team vandalizes school property, that person will be removed from the Adult Basketball League.

e. If a team vandalizes school property, then that team will be suspended from play and will forfeit the season without a refund.

**10.Awards: **
a. Awards will be given for 1st and 2nd place teams in the men’s and women’s end of the season tournament for up to 12 players. 11. Changes or cancellations: Page Recreation Department reserves the right to change or cancel any game(s) in any event and/or other conditions beyond their control.
