Final scores and recap from Week 1

Celtics vs Lakers
This game lived up to the hype and was a back and forth ball game until around 10 minutes left in the second half when the Lakers could not be stopped at getting to the rim and the Celtics could not buy a bucket for a good chunk of time. The first half was a shootout as both teams were hitting a majority of their shots. The Celtics were leading at the half but the Lakers prevailed with an all around team performance led by Wadner Vital who only played in the second half and led his team with 17 points. Corey Jackson led all players with 22 points and was lighting it up from behind the three but it was not enough for his team. Jayden Patterson also rallied in 16 points off the bench for the Celtics. DJ Haynes had 14 points and 5 rebounds and Marcus Ford with a few threes to start the game ended with 13 points for the Lakers.

Spurs vs Magic
The second contest of the night ended in a blowout as the Magic were outsized in the paint by a big Spurs team. The Spurs had three players in double figures with Carlos Medrano bringing in 14 points, Anthony Duff and Jacob Warfle each having 13. All 9 players on the Spurs had numbers in the scoring column. The Magic had a 17 point game by youngster Logan James who had an overall good game. Chris Perez added in 12 points and 4 rebounds for the Magic. The Spurs had 4 players with at least 5 rebounds, and we can see them dominating the boards throughout the season.

Warriors vs Nets
Our game of the week lived up to the hype as the Warriors pulled out early in the beginning 10 minutes of the game but the Nets fought back and made it a few possesion game at halftime. The second half was filled with both teams trading baskets and the Nets, playing hard with no subs, gained a lead for the first time in the first 6 minutes of the second half. Riley Breck ending up fouling out of the game with a little over 7 minutes to go and that's when the Warriors put the Nets to bed as they were playing a man down. The Warriors scored the most out of all teams in week 1 with 80 points as they had Jordan Jacobs lead all scorers with 23 points. Dominic Vigrass had a great game overall as he had 19 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The Warriors big man Logan Voiselle brought in 17 points and 12 boards. The Nets had a strong game from Chase Breck who had 3 three's and finished with 18 points. Riley Breck with the hustle stat as he finished with 11 boards before fouling out.

Suns vs Cavaliers
This game was a good defensive contest as they had the lowest total points across all 4 games. The Suns led by high flyer Mccrady Metelus who finished with 18 points and an emphatic dunk during the game. Rick Metelus was second in scoring for the Suns with 8 points and a couple three's. The Cavs two main scorers were Chavis Smith, who finished with a double double of 13 points and 10 rebounds. Jaylan Bradshaw led the team with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Daniel Cantave also brought in 10 rebounds alongside two three's from distance. A game with good ball movement from both sides leads into next week with interesting matchups for each team.
