The Native Alaskan Basketball Association, or NABA, is a semi-professional basketball league made up of 20 teams split into (6) divisions, and (2) Conferences- the Northern Conference and the Southern Conference. The NABA is a sister-network entertainment function which is branched off of the AK2K Network, Inc.
The 20 teams making up the league are home to 17 venues who were awarded franchises through contractual agreements with local school districts, regional and village corporations, regional borough's, airline agencies, and private sectors.
The mission of the NABN is to foster native sports and entertainment into both the rural and metro native community of the great state of Alaska, while providing incentive-based programs and tools aimed at supporting health and wellness, social skills, educational opportunity, economic development, cultural sustenance, and preventive measured ideologies that assist in lowering statistical plagues relating to domestic violence, suicide, recidivism, homelessness, and bullying in the lives of our individuals and families.
