The opening date for the 1st season of Desert Warriors League 6ft and below is set to unveil on January 22, 2016 at the Al Saad Gymnasium. "United as one" is the theme for the opening. A festive dance number will be featured on the said ceremony, comprising of 20 teams from all over Doha, this opening will be graced by representative from Philippine Embassy along with officials from the league sponsors.
Expected to give their well wishes for the said event are PIBAQ President Mr. Pat Carrido, and W LEAGUE Chairman Mr. Nur Manguinao. League commissioner Nards Dimayuga is optimistic about the success of the tournament.
A basketball double header to start off Elimination round will follow after the opening ceremonies.
Regular games will be held at Cambridge School of Doha. A Press conference will be held few days before the opening.
