The Come Play Detroit Men's Draft Basketball League continued to electrify the hardwood this week, showcasing incredible talent and fierce competition as teams pushed for glory in the regular season! With eight thrilling games on the slate, the intensity was off the charts!
In an action-packed showdown, Goldstein Dental put forth a fantastic performance to best Wallside Windows, 46-36! Bryan Jones emerged as a superstar for Goldstein Dental with a tremendous 19 points and a staggering 17 rebounds—he dominated the board! Eli added another impressive 19 points, ensuring the team drove the victory home, while Jamess Plata tried to rally Wallside with 14 points and 6 rebounds in a strong effort.
Next up was a clash where SurgicalOne took on Muscle Milk, grabbing a 51-36 win! Mark McShannock stole the spotlight with a dazzling 24-point game, netting 4 threes and grabbing 8 rebounds! Taylor Robson also made noise with 9 points and 5 rebounds. Muscle Milk couldn't keep pace but found highlights through Alvin, who contributed 7 points and 3 rebounds.
A thrilling contest unfolded as Athletico edged Detroit Build 66-56. Tommy Cotter lit up the scoreboard with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Ryan Tokowitz and Mike Klotz each dropped 17 in a fabulous collective performance! The Detroit Build tried to keep up, especially with Dominic Mason pouring in an impressive 17 points, but it wasn't quite enough.
Come Play Detroit celebrated a big win as they took down Handlebar Pub 58-46! Eric Fishman shone brightly with a jaw-dropping 23 points and 8 rebounds—what a gem! Chauncey Bridgewater contributed solid numbers of 14 points, helping them secure the victory and reignite their momentum!
Meanwhile, Huron Gastro faced off against Jordan Buchanan Real Estate, edging them 75-69 in a tension-filled game! Dylan Bressler turned in a phenomenal performance with 38 points—what a show! Nik Heglin dominated the boards for Huron with 13 rebounds. Jordan Buchanan’s Seth Ochoa kept the game competitive with 20 points in a standout effort!
Stride/S.I.G. fought hard to defeat Hutch Paving, 74-67! Elijah Sterin poured in 27 points to lead the charge, supported by Bennie Szczepkowski's 25-point night, showcasing stellar teamwork! Though Hutch's Colton Oedy responded with a mighty 28 points, they fell just short!
Rocket barely squeezed past Play 4 A Cause with a nail-biting 55-54 scoreline! Lavell Tyree knocked down 18 points for Rocket, while Tyler Browner went off for an electrifying 26 points for Play 4 A Cause—it was a battle until the final buzzer!
Lastly, LitFinancial held off Gatorade, winning 65-63 in a thrilling conclusion! Nate Talbot delivered a monster game with 26 points and 20 rebounds, while Jalen Grayson kept things fierce for Gatorade with 24 points. What a way to wrap up an exhilarating week of basketball!
