This past Saturday evening at MSA gymnasium was double header action with the Piranhas and Cobras. The Cobras were missing key bench players as they were forced to play with just 5 players available. This game should have been an easy victory for the Piranhas as they had their full team available. Forced to play every second, the Cobras used that realization to their advantage and attack the Piranhas with everything they had. Quentin Husband had 20 pts 5 rebs 5 asst 4 steals to go along with Ryan Green's double double performance of 12 pts 12 rebs. Stasio Rayner-Weller put up a hard fought 21 pts 6 rebs before fouling out the game late in the second half.
Cobras win 49-38
The last game of the evening saw the Bulldogs battle the Mambas in a evenly talented match up of two teams with deep bemches. The Bulldogs were determined to not let Ajani Carey and Anson Robinson have another huge peformance. The Bulldogs trapped and forced the ball into other players hands to make the decisions and for most of the game it worked. This method slowed down the high scoring duo but stop them as Ajani Carey finished with 22 pts 14 rebs along with Anson Robinson's 14 pts 15 rebs. The Bulldogs were led by a trio of scorers Jodon Marsh 17 pts Blake Johnston 14 pts and Jamie Ashton 13 pts were enough to squeeze past the defending BYB Champs 50-47
