Aigle Noir perfect start to the season continued on Saturday afternoon as they hosted Bujumbura City in an entertaining clash at Stade de Nkurunziza Peace Park Complex.

Both teams started the match with high tempo as Aigle Noir looked to continue their perfect start to the season and Bujumbura City looked to get out of relegation zone though,it was Aigle Noir who got better chances early in the first half but failed to convert them into goals

Bujumbura City who seemed to control possession towards the end of the first half were disadvantage as centre back Boaz was shown a second yellow card and eventually a red card for a bad foul on Ndombe the fighters strikers forcing City into an early substitution .

The second half started with both teams looking for the opening goal but it was Aigle Noir who got the opener in the 65th minute through goal poacher Ndombe who calmly dribbled past three defenders before shooting at the goalkeeper .

Aigle Noir looked settled in the game immediately after the goal with various attempts at Bujumbura City goal post but none was fruitful as the ten men Bujumbura sat deep in defense to avoid conceding more goals .

The match ended with The Fighters getting a third win of the season from four goals ,the win takes them to first on the log with 10 points two ahead of Musongati at second place .

Elsewhere,Musongati dropped points as they played out a barren draw against league strugglers Olympic Star.Musongati who started the match well failed to capitalize on numerous defense errors from Olympic Star thus missing an opportunity to go level on points with Aigle Noir .
