Stade de Makamba played host to an entertaining clash between league newcomers Top Junior and Tigre Noir on Wednesday afternoon in a rescheduled match day one fixture .

Heading into the game,Top Junior had not won a match since their promotion to Ligue A the last match ending in a one nil loss to Flambeau Du Centre .Fellow new comers Tigre Noir had only one win which came against another Ligue A newbie Magara Young Boys over the weekend.

Godefroid Okoko Lokon coached side started the match with a high tempo forcing Tigre Noir custodian Jean Marie Harerimana into making superb saves in the opening minutes of the game .Tigre Noir later settled in the game with goal poacher Fredy Ciza netting a goal before it was flagged off for an offside .

A mistake at the back by goalkepeer Jean Marie Harerimana handed Top Junior a penalty which Franck Barirengako nicely chipped over Tigre Noir custodian Harerimana to give the Junior's the lead with 28 minutes of play.

Nothing was at stalk for the reminder of the game as Top Junior sat back to defend the goal while Tigre Noir were pushing for an equalizer. Substitute Elvis Kadashira thought he had equalized for Hodin Olesikii coached side in the dying minutes of the game but his goal was ruled out for a foul committed during the build up to the goal.

The match ended with a scoreline of 1-0 with Top Junior bagging first Primus League points .The win takes them five steps up the log from the bottom of the table as they welcome league leaders Le.Messager Ngozi over the weekend.

Le Messenger Ngozi leads the standings after match day three with seven points similar to Bumamuru FC, Vital'o , Musongati and Aigle Noir though separated by goal difference.Bs Dynamik sit rock bottom with zero points .

Primus League Continues this Saturday with Aigle Noir hosting Bujumbura City and Olympic Star visiting Musongati FC
