Skills and Drills is about to begin. We will have 1 night of drills and 1 night of controlled scrimmages. Keep focused on these 2 thoughts

Drill nights are a chance to increase your basketball skills and learn new ones.It is a night to work on some stuff you want to be better at. Do not just come in focusing on shooting. Focus on all aspects of your game. The 3rd-6th grade level will be working on fundamentals and what it means to be a good teammate and play as a team. The 7th-8th grade level will be working on court awareness with an emphasis on improving basketball IQ.

Scrimmage night is to put these new skills into action and increase your basketball IQ. You can learn a lot on scrimmage night just watching the players on the court.
We have some great volunteers helping this year and we know it is going to be a lot of fun. If anyone wants to help feel free to contact me. You would not need to run any stations but I am sure all those that running a station or group would love an extra pair of hands for support.

I wanted to just add a few things.
Please understand that schedules are set but might be needed to adjusted based on gym availability. We try our best not to make adjustments but things happen.
I will update the game schedule if needed (hopefully I will not need to) and send out a post on "league news" as well as Waterboro Recreation Facebook and the group page Basketball at Waterboro Rec

Hope everyone has a great season and Thank you for being part of the Waterboro Recreation Basketball Program.
