VG Elite Survives East in Game 4 Championship Thriller

VIRGIN GORDA, British Virgin Islands — August 22, 2026 — VG Elite held off a determined East squad, 56–52, on Saturday night at the Jeffery Caines Arena in Virgin Gorda to even the Best-of-Five Championship Series and force a decisive Game 5.

VG Elite established control early, taking a 19–6 lead after the opening quarter. East responded in the second, cutting the deficit to five at halftime, 30–25. The home team continued its comeback in the third quarter, outscoring VG Elite 18–15 to pull within two, 45–43, heading into the final period.

East briefly threatened to complete the comeback, but VG Elite made enough plays down the stretch to secure the four-point victory.

For East, Demoii Dagou, Jahmai Jones and Romain Minott led the scoring with 11 points apiece. Minott also contributed six rebounds, two assists and two steals, while Dagou added seven rebounds and three assists. Shakeem Tyson chipped in 10 points, while Cedric King grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.

VG Elite's statistical sheet showed Killven Samuel with eight rebounds and Stephano Paul contributing eight rebounds and five assists. Stephon Caul added five rebounds, two assists and four steals, while Kimron Telemaque recorded three three-pointers along with two steals.

With the series now tied, Game 5 will determine the 2026 Senior Division champion, setting the stage for a winner-take-all finale between two teams that have battled through a highly competitive championship series.
