Run It Up Responds with Game 2 Victory to Tie Series Against East

Run It Up bounced back in a major way on Saturday night, defeating undefeated East 77-65 at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex to even their second-round playoff series at one game apiece.

After East captured Game 1 with a narrow 66-62 victory, Run It Up came out determined and set the tone early, building a 25-18 lead after the opening quarter. East battled back throughout the game, but Run It Up’s consistent offensive pressure and strong rebounding effort proved to be the difference.

East closed the gap in the second quarter, but Run It Up maintained a five-point halftime advantage, leading 42-37. The teams traded runs in the third quarter before Run It Up took control in the final period, outscoring East 20-15 to secure the 12-point victory and force a decisive Game 3.

Jamal Serrant was the difference-maker for Run It Up, delivering a dominant performance with a game-high 32 points, 16 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Serrant controlled the paint throughout the contest and was instrumental in Run It Up’s second-half surge.

Ashield Frett added 17 points, including three three-pointers, while Nathan Rodney contributed 10 points and seven rebounds. Akeem Titley provided excellent support with eight points, 11 assists and three steals as Run It Up’s ball movement created consistent scoring opportunities.

For East, Jamari Dagou led the way with 20 points, while Riquan Fahie added 17 points, nine rebounds and three three-pointers. Shakeem Tyson recorded a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds, and Romain Minott chipped in 10 points, eight rebounds and four assists.

Despite outrebounding Run It Up 48-45 and getting strong contributions across the lineup, East struggled to slow down Serrant and Run It Up’s offensive attack.

With the 77-65 victory, Run It Up tied the best-of-three playoff series at 1-1, setting up a winner-take-all Game 3. East will look to regain their momentum and preserve their championship hopes, while Run It Up will aim to complete the upset and advance to the next round.
