VG Elite Complete Sweep, Advance with Convincing Win Over All Gas No Brakes

VG Elite booked their place in the next round of the playoffs after completing a two-game sweep of All Gas No Brakes with an emphatic 83-55 victory in Game 2 of their best-of-three series on Thursday night at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.

After claiming the series opener, VG Elite left no doubt in Game 2, taking control from the opening tip. They raced to a 22-11 first-quarter lead and stretched the advantage to 48-25 by halftime before cruising to the 28-point victory.

VG Elite's balanced offensive attack proved too much for All Gas No Brakes, with four players finishing in double figures. Kimron Telemaque and Lekoy Lennard led the charge with 14 points each. Telemaque was deadly from beyond the arc, drilling four three-pointers, while Lennard dominated the paint with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Jolyon Wilson added 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists and four steals in another outstanding all-around performance, while Stephano Paul contributed 10 points and four assists. VG Elite's teamwork was on full display, recording 22 assists on 33 made field goals while forcing 16 steals to keep All Gas No Brakes on the defensive all evening.

All Gas No Brakes were led by Taije Nathaniel, who scored a game-high 14 points, while Alonzo Baptiste finished with 12 points and nine rebounds. Amarlee Glasgow chipped in nine points, and Nkel Stevens added seven points and six rebounds.

Although his offensive opportunities were limited, Alec Leonard continued to make an impact with his all-around play. The young guard collected seven rebounds, dished out five assists, blocked two shots and recorded a steal.

Despite outrebounding VG Elite 48-41, All Gas No Brakes struggled to generate consistent offense, failing to make a three-point basket while shooting just 21 field goals. In contrast, VG Elite knocked down eight shots from long range and capitalized on their defensive pressure throughout the contest.

With the victory, VG Elite completed the 2-0 sweep of the best-of-three series, advancing to the next round in convincing fashion. Their balanced scoring, disciplined defense and unselfish play made them the class of the series as they continue their pursuit of the 2026 championship.
