The Mt. Zion Stars delivered a commanding performance on Saturday evening, defeating Young Empire 88-68 in Junior Division action at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.
Zion P. led the Stars with a dominant double-double, scoring a game-high 33 points while pulling down 18 rebounds. K’Andre Barry added 20 points and eight rebounds, while Michael S. chipped in 19 points to help Mt. Zion improve to 3-2 on the season.
Young Empire was led by Akiel Adonis, who finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Kyle Farrington and Morry Ollivierre each contributed 12 points, while Jadiel Matthew recorded a strong all-around effort with nine points, 14 rebounds, and three assists.
Mt. Zion controlled the game from the opening quarter and steadily extended its lead behind strong rebounding and balanced scoring, securing a 20-point victory.
